Only a handful of schools have publicly offered a scholarship to top-40 recruit Bronny James, LeBron James' oldest son. This week, his options were reportedly pared down to a final three of USC, Ohio State and Oregon. However, The King himself weighed in this weekend on his son's options as he stares down the homestretch of his recruitment, and made thing abundantly clear: Bronny's options are not limited.

"I think Bronny can go to any college he wants to," LeBron said an interview with The Oregonian. "All I have to do is pick up the phone. If Bronny says he wants to go there, he's good enough."

James also seemed to downplay the idea that Bronny had narrowed his schools down to three options, instead saying his son had a "top five or six" list he's considering -- including the Ducks

This guy is physically incapable of just shutting the frick up. That was probably the last comment Jr needed daddy to make.

You guys are hilarious. Some newspaper asks him questions directly related to this topic and you guys are saying he can’t shut up.

He’s probably not wrong. And any dad would help their son the same way if they could.

Also Lebron is extremely underrated at basketball by 90% of the MSB.

Something may be factual but also distasteful to say publicly. This is one of those things. That’s like a rich kid’s father saying “he just needs to tell me where he wants to work and I can get him a job there”

He was asked about his kid’s college choices and his answer made it about himself

Well his son is a minor and he’s the dad involved in his recruitment. My guess is if his son wanted to go to Duke, he would give someone a call to schedule a visit just like you might do for your teenage child.

Apply this to the sub 3.5gpa med school/dental school/law school applicant of a previous 2 generation family in those fields. The kid who just fricked around in college.

Ladies and gentleman, privilege. It's been achieved.

I think him announcing that to the world and how that makes him look is going way over your head

I wouldn’t tell my own friends, much less the entire world, “yeah, if my kid wants to go anywhere, I can make one phone call and it’s a done deal.” That’s a very pompous and arrogant thing to say.

I could see someone like Oats or Calipari politely telling Lebron to frick off.

Let's hope he's a one and done so we can get this whole Lebron fiasco in the rearview mirror please.

So does any dad who has a son that can play. The only difference is that those dads don't have to come out with a power trip, attention-whoring statement.

If his son is as stupid as he is, he might not qualify academically.

His saving the world fiasco. If he wants to play with Bron Jr we can only hope it happens sooner than later.
