My concern is that he may eventually try to make his way into politics

He's probably gonna become a coach that players hate or an MJ level GM.

Lebron definitely mentally checked out of that series once AD went down. He likely doesn't even care about seriously trying for another championship. He's in coast mode now.

I think he cares a lot about the championships. It’s why he recruited AD. It’s going to bother him if he doesn’t reach MJ. But yes he checks out like I would when I was 9 and things weren’t going my way.

I don't necessarily think that's the case. I think he already knows and accepted he won't catch MJ in championships. I've said this before, his move to LA was primarily a business move. He enrolled his school in one of the too basketball academies, he wanted to line up more business ventures, and he wanted to be in more movies.
While he was there, he still wanted to potentially compete for a championship as well, which is why he recruited AD.

If Lebron's #1 priority was to catch or pass MJ, he wouldnt have left Cleveland to go join the Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma led Lakers team. He would have went to the Warriors with Steph, the Rockets with Harden, or maybe joined KD in Brooklyn, join up with Kawhi, or join Giannis in Milwaukee.

Honestly I wouldn't even doubt it if he dropped a huge bombshell by just retiring sometime this summer.

he's not that far from the all-time scoring record

only 3,020 points away, so probably 2 more years even if Bron is declining

and then his son may be coming up too

The only other team that LeBron ever considered in FA in 2018 was the 76ers. LeBron also apparently didn’t even like Houston as a city.

And that right there is why I'll never consider him tGOAT. True GOATs don't go in to coast mode. Their entire focus is on winning as many titles as possible until it is physically impossible.

LeBron is a mentally weak person. He's almost certainly the most physically gifted NBA basketball player ever, but his mental fortitude isn't in the same league as other legends of the game.

What flops more the movie or his playoff performance? If anyone else promoted a movie after a playoff loss they would be scorched. I hate lebron

LeBron literally never built a team of young players into champions. That is and will always be what hampers any mentioning of him as the GOAT. People will claim he won 4 titles with 3 different teams, but every single one of those championship teams was a bunch of super teams or free agent builds.

Miami was 3 all pros making a super team and mostly filled with vets.

Cleveland again was mostly free agents and not players LeBron helped develop.

Lakers is a complete joke not only because it is an asterisk title, but he had again to ship off the young talent and fill it with vets.

LeBron never built a young team into a champion. Jordan did that, which is why he is the GOAT and I hated Jordan when he played.

Egomaniac = Steven A Smith
Superstar = Michael Jordan
GOAT = LeBron James
