Sort of explains why Ving didn’t want to go with Pog the other day when he looked back and wanted him to push. Saved that energy for today.

The finale today hasn't been a finishing climb since Indurain won in 89. It's a power climb until 6k from the line when it kicks up 9-11% then dials it back for the last 2k.
I'm glad the doping hysteria has died down but if Jonas were riding like this 15 years ago there would have been tons of questions and maybe some boos.
I have no doubt GC guys are doping, why wouldn't they, but it's probably become a lot more professional and regimented like training has, which probably makes the top docs more valuable than ever.
Maybe some kind of special synergistic effect has been discovered using types of microdosing with undetectable transfusions. Or it could be an experimental drug that labs don't know to test for.

Apparently Xenon gas can be inhaled and it is a very potent stimulant of red blood cell production, and because it's a gas, it gets in your system, produces the stimulant effect, then gets out, rather quickly - like minutes to hours. I've been wondering if that's being used.
