Romo was slinging that tater all over the field in limited action Week 17 against Philadelphia.

According to Over the Cap, Houston has about $25M in cap space. Trading for Romo would hit them for about $14M. Would take some work, but at quick glance there are a few players they could cut/restructure to make room for at least $15-20M (Not much they can do w/ Watt or Osweiler)

I disagree, someone desperate will give a 2nd or more likely a 3rd. Signing him at all is a risk but QB is such a premium that someone will gamble on him staying healthy.

Not about picks at this point. They just need to unload his salary. Then get a pass rusher and/or olb.

I would be thrilled with a 7th rounder since it looks like Dallas has no interest in playing Romo. Even if Aaron Rodgers is kicking their arse and the season is on the line...

La Confora is terrible

As bad as he is as a writer and so called insider, he's an even bigger liberal d-bag whiner on twitter.

Completely worth the risk. If he is healthy, you make a legit run at the super bowl

I think they are going to get a 2nd rounder as well assuming Denver is interested. If Denver isn't interested, I think the trade market for Romo dries up.

Does he have a checkered history of injuries? Yes. But i think we go a bit overboard and almost act like he's never made it to the playoffs healthy.

Checkered history is being insanely positive. It's not like he's Rob Gronkowski taking hits over the middle, he's a damn QB and still ending up on IR. I wouldn't waste a cost controlled starter (aka a 2nd rounder) for that.

NFL teams seriously overrate their draft picks.

no they really don't. Build through the draft has been proven over and over again to be superior to building through trades and free agency. Unless you are a QB and only a QB away from winning it all you shouldn't even consider giving up more than a 4th rounder at best for Romo and even that's being generous for a guy who has won just 1 playoff game in his whole career. He makes Danny White look like Joe Montana.

Again, only once in the past 6 seasons has he not been available in the playoffs.

So yea, you're reaching even based on history.

2015 lost to a shattered collar bone, 2016 he broke a bone in his back.

How many times has he played 16 games in a season? He's 36 coming off an injury that sidelines him for another season, and he's started what, 5 games in the past 32+?
