Going to be interesting how this all plays out. Mexico is our number one trade partner and basically can provide what China was providing moving forward. Don't want to bite the hand that feeds so to speak

He wasn't stopped at the border. He made the stupid move of not checking his bag beforehand and accidentally taking a firearm to a foreign airport in his luggage.
And he's in the US, not in Mexican jail. This happened in January.

Mexico loves to stick to American tourists. He’s a dumbass that should have known better, but Mexican authorities detained my wife and I for a few hours at the Cancun airport over Tylenol once

I agree. Our justice system isn't infallible, neither is it completely prehistoric compared to the rest of the world. Our version of the cartel and most of Europe's as well just look a little different, and favors public shaming to send a message instead of beheadings.
