This reporting has been an absolute shitshow. What an embarrassment

And yet not even remotely surprising.

Exactly
I wasn’t a huge fan growing up but in the last ~7 years I grew to appreciate and understand why he was a pretty special guy.

Saban had him come in and talk to the team and it was amazing. AMAZING.

Usually those things are canned, loud, and rehearsed speeches that come off as a bit preachy and disingenuous.

Kobe pulled up a tiny chair in front of the team and just talked to them in the most sincere manner. I always rolled my eyes at the “mamba mentality” stuff but he explained it and geared it towards being the best you can be in every aspect of your life. It was so goddamn genuine and you could tell he wanted everyone in the room to succeed.

The true death nail to journalism

The 24 hour news cycle was the death knell to modern media. Twitter just made it substantially worse.

RIP Kobe

Very sad.

Also a reminder why I’ll never ride in a helicopter.

The comments on his tweet will be disgusting. Some won’t be able to stop themselves.

She was a great b-ball player - headed to major college in a few years and quite likely WNBA. Unreal how tragic this all is

It's a bit unfortunate he has the amount of people dead wrong right out of the gate.

Lakers next game is Tuesday against the LA Clippers

don't know if it's a Laker or Clipper home game... but it's crazy that after this news the next Laker game is at Staples Center against the other LA team

that building will be crazy somber Tuesday I imagine
