This is one of the worst possible ways Kerr could have handled this whole thing. I'm honestly slightly impressed at how badly he fricked this up
I was wondering how he could make it worse and by jove he found a way
Just shut the frick up, Stevie. Better to be thought a good than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

He’s really not very smart. I think that’s pretty obvious. I’ll give him that he leveraged two incredibly fortunate career breaks into a great path, but he’s not terribly intelligent or analytical or wise.

No other country on the planet has a larger % of the population brainwashed to mindlessly hate their own country and people like America has.
Kerr is but just one of these sad sacks.

Good Lord, Steve. You are clearly not a very intelligent or principled individual.

I wonder how this would play with any other fan base outside of San Francisco? He gets cover and wont face as much criticism because people in San Francisco most likely agree with him. What a disgrace he is. frick the NBA and their anti American culture.

He don't know that he don't know....
Or as Jim Mora would say..."you think you know...but you don't know."

I just went to Reddit and there are actually nutcases arguing that he’s right. Equivalent examples:
Puerto Rico not having representation
Gun Violence
ICE
Police indiscriminately murdering minorities.
Yikes.

Kerr seems legitimately stupid

Kerr might be the most unlikeable douchenozzle of the year.
Posted on 10/11/19 at 6:46 am to HailHailtoMichigan!
The irony here is that Kerr can shite talk the president all he wants and it really won’t touch the bottom line.
One little tweet has the potential to bring down business down between the rockets (nba even) and China.
God bless the USA

No PR representation? PR has voted down the opportunity to become a state because it means they would have to pay more taxes.
Gun violence? The retards involved would be using clubs and rocks if they didn’t have guns.
ICE? Controlling our borders is a human rights violation? Detaining illegal minors to be kept until someone can pick them up is worse than dropping them on the streets with no supervision?
Police indiscriminately murdering minorities? I think the police would need to get in line because minorities are doing it for them and in greater numbers.

One country literally killed 50+ million of its own citizens, and he's like but America.
Yet America (The Beacon of Democracy & Greatest Nation ever) had no issues with fully embracing Mao Zedong, America had no issue overlooking Tianamen Square & China's overall deplorable human rights record.
If only Americans were this tenacious in calling out it's hypocritical leadership as they are with Kerr.
Stop pretending as if you care about ethnic Muslins in China , Hong Kong or Nixon's buddy Mao Zedong's Great famine.

Kerr and Pop really should have learned their lesson and said “I am a basketball coach. I know nothing about any of this. I will never speak again on any topic but basketball.”
It’s not even that. I would 100% respect them if they just said the truth of “there is too much money at stake for me to feel comfortable getting involved”
Expect they don’t want to give up their high ground.

What’s great about this is this isn’t going anywhere any time soon. It’s one thing to deflect and say I know nothing about China the day after the comments. That excuse will seem much weaker 2 months down the road.
Reporters will continue to ask about it and their choice is cowardice, equivalence (also cowardice) or burning down their pile of Chinese money.

I can’t comment on this until I talk to my 8th grade history teacher.
