Rap music live is generally not good. It's a very underwhelming pick considering that alone if he is the main performer (and the fact that he has appeared in a Superbowl halftime show just a few years ago). He probably has the least known music to the average person of any halftime performer I can remember (at least in recent memory anyway).

No, he's actually not.

The biggest problem with this is rap is fricking terrible live. So of course it’s going to suck

Jay Z called the NFL racist during the whole Kapernick thing and they signed Rock nation to handle Super Bowl entertainment
Ever since then they’ve played the black national anthem and had a black halftime performer.

His Juneteenth show was legit. He is a real MC and great entertainer too.

Was hoping for Foo Fighters or Green Day

That’s only if they are bad entertainer/performers. I was at the Childish Gambino show last night and it was incredible. Kendrick is a performer and knows how to put on a show. I expect it to be good. He’s a great storyteller with his live stuff

Is he gonna call out the white boys for singing along to his lyrics again?

Maybe the Super Bowl just isn’t good enough for Master P and Mystikal.

True. Not everyone can get beats from a laptop, have no ability to sing, have no ability to play any instrument, have no understanding of melody or harmony, and write lyrics like:
"This dick ain't free
Matter of fact it needs interest
Matter of fact it's nine inches"
Beethoven, Cole Porter and Paul McCartney watch out! There's a new genius in town.

Aren’t you a big Kamala guy?

Not to bash him as an artist but idk about his mass appeal for a super bowl show.
he has like 3 #1 hits and 2 of them are Drake distracts.
the average viewer doesn’t know anything besides not like us maybe.

I feel like Kendrick Lamar is the hip-hop equivalent of a covid shot. It's super hyped up, we're getting pushed to get it, everyone is telling us it's good, but at the end of the day it's really not doing that much for me.
