Lot of respect for most every non-player in that video. They all seemed to do their best to stop/slow the situation down.

Pain on the Plains.

Or insane on the plains.

This would be easier in Manhattan.

There’s more background to this than people realize:

In 2016, a KU player dunked at the buzzer. Fans were upset that he tried to run up the score in a game that was over. Last year, a K-State player did the same thing.

The steal shouldn’t have happened. It was another pointless score in a game that was over in a series that had bad blood due to “unsportsmanlike” plays in the final moments of games.

The taunting shouldn’t have happened. But you don’t normally see guys leaving the bench when a teammate is being stood over. How many times did Shaq dunk on someone and stand over them? How many times did the other team leave the bench when it happened? Taunting over players happens. It shouldn’t have last night, but it did.

Di Sousa (#22) deserves about ten games. Picking up the chair was a bad look, but he dropped it. McCormack (#30) deserves about 5 for kicking/stomping the guy. I didn’t see any video showing Garrett (#0) stomping on the guy. He’s in the area, but I don’t see his legs. Agbaji (#30) shoves a guy, but I don’t see any punches.

The guy in the black polo off the bench for K-State deserves about 10 games, too. Maybe one K-State guy was involved and should get 3 games. Overall, outside of those three main guys, it was a lot of holding back and some pushing.

It was made worse because the area it spilled into, which is the designated area for disabled fans. Hopefully no one in the crowd was seriously hurt during the altercation.

Great block, but you are asking for a brawl when you do that.

Just like you’re asking for trouble stealing the ball when the other team has decided to be nice and dribble out the clock

Unsportsmanlike action that caused the bench to clear - Kansas
First punch thrown - Kansas
First chair picked up - Kansas

More like

Unsportsmanlike action that started everything - KState
First physical contact- KState
First chair picked up - Kansas

How are people acting like it’s ok for the entire KState bench to react to something they felt was cheap but it’s not ok for De Sousa to do the same? The only difference is that the KState bench decided to make it physical. Obviously after that the Kansas players took it to an absurd level.

I mean a dude grabbing a chair to run into a melee is always gonna turn some heads. That’s pretty tough.

I'm not talking about that. Everyone agrees that was bad.

I was referencing the block and flex that "started" the fight.

Yup. Equally as dumb as people saying the steal was some ultimate sign of disrespect.

If this would’ve happened to LSU in a game we were up by 20 I would be catatonic.

this rally is so stupid. I don’t even really care for KU one way or another. People acting like this is the worst thing to happen since the malice are ridiculous. WuShocks analysis is spot on and right around what I was thinking as well. But he’s going to get downvoted to oblivion because “KU bad”

That wasn't the normal taunting you see when a guy gives a quick stare to a dude on the ground, I'm sure you realize that.

You think both teams should receive roughly the same amount of discipline?

I don't think it was disrespectful. I just think it was a chicken shite steal and shot attempt and the block and flex was an appropriate reaction.

Standing and flexing basically straddling someone is going to have them push you off of them. Rewatch the block. DeSousa not only flexes, he walks 3 steps after the block to be right on top of the KSU player for the glare/flex.

I don't blame KSU one bit for pushing him back. Walking up on a player on the ground to do that is always going to get you pulled/pushed away.

Kansas is 100% at fault for what went down. I’m not even sure that is debatable.

You are wrong.

K State guard made a punk move.

Kansas guy blocked him as he should have. When he stood over him he received a technical foul. How many times does a technical foul for taunting lead to a bench clearing fight? Lsu’s Javonte Smart got a similar technical foul at Ole Miss 5 days ago, there was no fight.

The fight happened because Kansas State players ran off the bench immediately and confronted De Shouza.

Kansas is as much to blame for what happened from that point on, but K State’s bench running on the floor started the fight part of the incident. Let the ref call a technical and be done with it. That’s what happens the 99% of the time a taunting violation is called.

I am sure De Sousa will appreciate your support of his inability to rein in his emotions while he is no longer playing.

It is as simple as not acting like a 10 year old, something that most of us grew out of when we stopped being 10.
