Great player, wonderful career, not a Hall of Famer. Statistical benchmarks in the OP are nice but a career .324 on base and .264 Avg isn’t great

The best argument for Rollins hinges on speed (defensive range and baserunning), overall defense, and then the power he added with that.

Jimmy Rollins is one of the nicest MLB players i have ever met. He spent lots of extra time talking to everyone at a golf tournament. He talked ball with all the young kids and he carried himself like a regular guy, not a star.
And I say that as somebody who has hated the Phillies his whole life. frick the Phillies. But Jimmy Rollins is a first class dude in my book.

I absolutely love Jimmy Rollins. Great player. But definite no as a Hall of Fame player. He will get in though. That's how fricking easy and mediocre the MLB Hall of Fame has become.

it took Andruw Jones 9 ballots before receiving his well deserved and over-due enshrinement -
Rollins was just on his 5th ballot in 2026 - if he gets in with fewer ballots then just shut down Cooperstown -

I had to look it up, by WAR he was 7th in the NL. Troy Tulowitzki had a better season at SS & his own teammate Chase Utley had more WAR than Jimmy. Albert Pujols finished with almost 3 more WAR and was voted 9th in MVP
He's a hall of very good imo, was an absolute menace on those old Phillies teams

My cousin was an editor for the Philadelphia Inquirer for many years and is a lifelong Phillies fan. Her two fav Phillies are Schmidt and Rollins.

Larkin was a better fielder than more than a few on the list. He only won 3 Gold Gloves, but was in the same league as Ozzie.
