I'm guessing they had someone willing to pay Jayden upfront.

What a world we live in where ASU can afford to pay an unproven teenage quarterback what he wants, but Florida can't.

I don’t understand paying millions for a high school kid who hasn’t played a college down yet

I'm sure the price came way down. Happening basically after the recruitment cycle really limited where he could go

The way these kids are jumping in the magic portal? And with spring football on the horizon? This kid is a pure mercenary and would make him radioactive for real football programs.

Such a dumb argument. NFL pays kids who have never played a down of NFL football. NBA pays kids who have never played NBA ball. EPL pays kids who have only played in England, etc, etc....

Now I don't understand a mattress store paying a unproven kid to pimp his product, but we all know that's not how NIL is working. Collectives pay whoever the school tells them to pay.

I don't either and I hate it, but it's not like this kid was an Arch Manning or a 5 star #1 QB in the class. Kid is a 175 lb 4 star who was offered $13 million. I'm physically pissed at what has been done to CFB

Well long story short the idiots at Florida set up an NIL collective, offered this kid $13million to come, and then told the kid after he signed that they couldn't come up w/the money.

That's false. The deal fell through on 12/7 and he still signed with us for some reason.
