If you tulane fans think LSU wouldn`t bet Tulane you are
delusional. The talent gap is wide and 1 bad quarter in the
FLA.ST game doesn`t change that.

Just saying, the polls put them #7 or #9… what do you think the #7 or #9 team in the country does in the SEC?
If Vanderbilt (who Tulane would be, at best, in the SEC) has a once in a generation season in the SEC, they finish 9-4 and 4th in their division.

Tulane was in a NY6 game by default. Had to add them.

No Tulane would be sub-Vandy.
So you’re saying Vandy wouldve beat USC in the Cotton Bowl???

Not 2022 Vandy, but the best Vandy team of the last 25 years, yeah.

I wonder how many pollsters put Tulane ahead of lsu if they beat Ole Miss this week. Some will for sure.
I’m rooting for Tulane but it won’t hurt LSU if ole miss wins so won’t be upset either way

I’m probably the biggest LSU homer that I know, but you are acting like a giant douchebag in this thread. You’re making the rest of us look like assholes. Please stop.

How about the SEC lets Tulane back in and then we can settle it on the field?
Otherwise, we are stuck with the schedule we play.

I again submit a request to add SMU, Rice, and Tulane to create a Magnolia pod w/Vanderbilt.

How many years of tv revenue would you have to give up for that? 50?
It’s not like you were killing it against the SEC of the 50’s and 60’s as it was. I just looked it up, in your last 15 seasons of SEC play you won 17 conference games.

that's the difference between New Orleans and Dallas markets
plus LSU would obviously veto them if they tried to rejoin. SMU at least put the ACC into a new market and had decent basketball.
btw Texas (and Florida State and Clemson) are bluebloods enough that the SEC team in their states already will get outvoted if they try to exercise that veto.

There is no veto it’s a straight 3/4ths (or maybe 4/5th, can’t remember) vote. For awhile South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia agreed to vote together as a block against any of their in state schools to be voted in, effectively making that a veto, but there’s enough members now they couldn’t block it on their own.
Prior to that, Florida State was offered SEC membership in the late 80’s and turned it down.
Regardless, the next phase of SEC expansion is going to be either new markets (North Carolina, Virginia) or brands (Florida State, Clemson). Tulane brings neither.

Hey, TheRouxGuru. Sorry that you did not like my posts in the “Is Tulane the best team in Louisiana again?” thread, but you can go frick yourself!
I get no joy in badmouthing Tulane because I generally don’t care; however, the premise of the thread is asinine and is mindlessly regurgitated every time a Tulane fan sniffs a good fart.
Thanks.

You care so little about Tulane that you have posted 8 times in this thread about Tulane

You're not a Tulane grad. Very poor reading comprehension.
