Several. Basketball, wrestling, and soccer. Well, he can play soccer until about age 10 but then he's done. It's fine for kids.

I can understand not pushing it but if you honestly feel like the sport is so unsafe that you would never let your child olay it no matter how bad he wanted to or how good he was than you should really be advocating for the shut down of the sport. Unless you are a heartless person who doesn't care of people's brains get pummeled

Seconded for youth football. The amount of idiots who coach youth football is scary. If they have a real middle school coach then I will be totally fine with it, but these independent youth teams are nuts. Of the guys I played with that made it to the college level, it was half and half between playing before middle school football and those who waited till middle school, so I don't necessarily starting to play football at 8 makes you any better than waiting till you are 12 or so.
