LSU would be undefeated playing the ND schedule.

Well considering LSU is 0-1 at Kyle Field this year and ND is 1-0 at Kyle Field…

Also, LSU is 0-1 against USC at a neutral site. We will see this upcoming weekend if ND is 1-0 against USC on the road.

As stated earlier, Blutarsky isn’t LSU’s brightest.

10 years $3 Billion.

Schools having to pay for past lawsuits and paying players, money will be a deciding factor.

The conference championship is the difference. ND should be required to play a P4 opponent in a thirteenth game to qualify. They could schedule it like Hawaii does.

So should all the other teams that don’t make a conference championship game going to have to do it too? What an idiotic biased take.

They don’t have a conference title game so it evens out.

Nah it’s happening. It’s an extra game that means nothing in the playoff picture. We’re going to have 4-5 SEC teams in the playoff every year, what purpose does it serve? It’s not even a fair way to determine a genuine conference champion because most years the participants are going to be directly driven by schedule imbalances

Pseudo bragging rights and pride is cool and all but it’s less cool than a week of rest / avoiding injuries / not putting unnecessary late season film on tape

I’m pretty sure Kirby will be (rightly) complaining about the extra burden next week. It’s only a matter of time until the schools are publicly in consensus that it no longer makes sense. If the conference ignores said consensus the coaches will take it upon themselves to turn the game into Week 18 NFL games with playoff teams locked in position resting their starters

That’s how they want it

For people complaining about conferences etc. remember schools choose to join a conference so if people complain about CU ASU Boise etc the school they support should go join that conference

Should go to 20 teams, 2 divisions, round robin in the division, no cross-division games, division winners to the CCG.

One division can be LSU, Ole Miss, State, Tennessee, Vandy, Kentucky, Auburn, Bama, Georgia, Florida.

Schools like the money. 10 years $3 Billion, that’s not getting reworked because coaches are mad about a conference championship.

So 2 completely separate conferences of 10 teams and the winner of each finishes their regular season with an OOC game

No

It’s $300 million a year for the full conference slate, for which the SECCG is but 1 game (that is soon to lose the majority of its significance)

As it stands in the regular season the SEC doesn’t have the power to tell a team that they can’t rest their players or use full playbooks. They don’t have the authority to say UGA’s required to keep starters in for 4 quarters against Mississippi State. So if this new $3b deal doesn’t require anything different for the SECCG, Greg doesn’t have to rework anything, he’s already set

But it’s in his interest to get going on finding alternate revenue to offset that game because the schools will be making the ultimate decision on its future for him

Too good to join a conference? Play a first round game every time you qualify

Should also be disqualified from any home games for the playoffs.

It pains me to say this but I think Notre Dame can win the whole deal, O Line is legit.

Note dame has always been a pretender but this feels like by far their most legit team despite early struggles. We will see though

They are better off, I’d rather have a home game vs having to win CCG on a neutral site to earn a bye to a bowl at a neutral site

More money involved if you make it into the playoffs and win.

Why should a conference hamstring themselves by playing their two best teams and potentially knocking one of them out of the playoffs?

Conference CGs and going to be dropped.

There is no benefit.
