I'm not sure why it is difficult to admit that Harden's ability to draw a foul is a significant strength. He gets a shite ton of calls that others simply don't get. I've got no problem calling it a skill, it is, but it isn't one that is terribly enjoyable, particularly when you consider he's an elite scorer without that bullshite.
This.

In the 2016 Finals, LeBron James shot 43 free throws in SEVEN GAMES, the most of any player from either team; the next highest was 10.
Lol.
I can guarantee you without looking that the next highest was not 10. That's not even 2 per game.

We've been over this. Harden is playing for the foul while the others get fouled trying to score.
It is frustrating because he doesn't need to do it. He's an elite scorer without the ticky tack BS.
Rocketards don't understand that we believe Harden is really good, which is why his shitastic playstyle is so frustrating to watch. He could be one of the most entertaining players to watch, but he'd rather flail about and goad people into fouling him.

It all started when metta world peace slapped him in the face while he was with the thunder.

Hey you use the gifts god gives you Bubba. God gave james the best braking system / deceleration ever measured on an NBA player. Defenders just can't help themselves. He starts and stops at a level that is elite even among the worlds most elite athletes. It's a true joy watching him do his thing.

Lebron and Kawhi Leonard are the only two guys right now that are elite in both phases of the game.
Anthony Davis?

AD has a bit to go to be an elite defender like the other two guys.

James Harden is the basketball equivalent of the big burly slugger who has a mediocre batting average but walks a lot and hits a ton of homeruns. So he's basically the Mark McGwire of the NBA. Going to the free throw line a lot takes immense ability similar to a hitter drawing a ton of walks in baseball. It's not very entertaining but it's an extremely valuable skill.

I mean I called it a strength lol rocketards are so sensitive when it comes to James.
I appreciate Boom for owning it
Theirs no question that hes a top 5-10 piece to build a team around in the league. You know game in game out he is going to get you minimum 20points a game. He also gets his teammates involved as well.
It just isnt a fun skill to watch. I cant stand curry personally but I can admit his brand of basketball is fun to watch. Fast paced shooting 3s form the parking lot.
I honestly would love to be a rocketard considering Im in the area but I always end up having more fun watching the other team's star when Im at their games. NBA is a star driven league.

James owes it to his teammates/organization etc to use his skills to help his team win. Hey if the other guys wanna foul NBD James will step up to the FT line and knock em down all game long. He may be the best player ever at drawing fouls. You gonna start seeing kids in HS Attempt to draw the foul on the three pointer like James does. Only thing is the likely aren't blessed with the skill to pull it off.
