Do you think it’s right that high school players are forced to play on the summer and their parents spend thousands to an outside organization?

of course not but that is not what is going on with Mandeville which is the point of the thread.

So for mandeville it will be truly optional for the players? They can say no thanks to the summer knights ?

Because the other schools that do this it sure doesn’t seem optional

whatever they are putting together isn't your typical full summer type ball schedule is what i've been saying for a while. You already have many travel ball players that are in full swing of their travel ball schedule with whatever organization that they are with.

I know the crescent city summer league is about to end, so sounds like this team of sorts will be assembled for kids that maybe don't play travel ball already can continue to play some more ball at the end of the summer.

Mandeville has some elite kids on an elite knights team, they aren't going to miss any of their existing remaining schedule for this newly formed knights team, i can promise you that. there are 11 other more fully commited LA Knights high school program teams already have been playing ball all summer, mandeville was NOT one of the schools doing this.

those schools are halfway thru their travel ball schedule. this is a bit different situation imo.
