Yes, playing the foosball is extremely mentally taxing. Doctors, lawyers, engineers, accountants, etc could certainly take a page from Cam’s *ahem* simplified playbook

The coaches might have thrown to much at him to fast. He needs to learn the speed of the game. He is also on a bad team....I mean they did have the first overall pick.
Simplifying the playbook could mean a few different things not simply 'he is stupid'.
I think it is to early to say that he is "dumb" unless the media has had sources tell them such.

I have no opinion on Ward as a person. But as a QB I never understood why so many thought he would be a decent college QB. Last years draft class will go down as one with no decent long term QB’s. Ward and Dart will be given all the rope because of where they were drafted but neither are career starters.

I'm not saying he will be a great qb in the future or even a good qb in the future. Im simply saying that 'simplifying the playbook' doesn't mean that he is dumb.

What’s elite or #1 overall pick worthy about Ward? He and Bryce Young are the two most head scratching #1 QB picks in my lifetime. How does any franchise think players so limited can lead them anywhere?

Idk about dumb but he is very bad as a QB and it's hard to see him ever getting good, but you never know. His game vs the Raiders was atrocious, he fumbles the ball just losing it out of his hand all the time, his passes are woefully inaccurate, even 5 yard slants are thrown horribly be it way behind the receiver or thrown into the ground.
He has no feel for anything. I expected him to struggle year 1, but not this bad.

You need to likely read this book
The best football players are excellent at "thinking fast". That's why a traditionally dumb guy like Dan Marino was so much better at QB than a guy like Ryan Fitzpatrick (who is by all accounts much more intelligent in the traditional/slow sense than either).
