The Miss State / Oklahoma State kick off game in 2013 in Houston only had 35K and the majority of those were Okie Light fans. If Moo fans won't travel big for a top 15 ranked P5 they aren't traveling for a Sun Belt team.

New Orleans has lost it's luster. As a State fan, there was zero interest in going to this game to watch us play a non-power 5 during Decadence weekend.

That statement right there generally sums up ULM support for the most part. I actually applaud the Cajuns. Their fans are diehard and they give zero fricks about going toe to toe with LSU fans.
In Monroe, the upper tier Northside population is just about all LSU and the ones that aren't LSU are LA Tech. I bet Tech support actually trumps ULM in Monroe and obviously West Monroe. I guess ULM has it's pockets of fans but I think the majority of ULM support actually comes from towns outside of Monroe, which is sad in way.
However, I think ULM has made strides in trying to attract Monroe fans by recruiting and signing local kids. I have always said that if ULM would chase local talent, they would put more bodies in the stands.

I thought Mississippi State actually had a decent showing. I was disappointed in our fans' attendance more. But I think what hurt on both sides is the 11am kickoff. But we as a program also just need to have more success before we start bringing in larger crowds

Dude I don’t give 2 shits about LSU. I do t blame LSU for anything wrong with the Cajuns program. The early 80’s was a very long time ago, LSU hasn’t been threatened by USL/UL for nearly 40 years.
Every flaw that my school has is 100% self inflicted. But, I find it funny and kinda petty that so many negative threads are started by LSU fans about UL. There aren’t any threads like this started about ULM, Tulane or LaTurd. It’s just the Cajuns.

This here 100%... ULM blew it in the 90’s .., not grabbing kids from Carroll, Wossman, even Neville, etc.
They were notorious for just not wanting Monroe kids in the 90’s... never understood this... they had no relationships with local coaches... plenty of kids from Northeast LA could have went there to play football...
The local population still hasn’t forgot this believe me
