You asked about their primes, and that usually refers to post-college career. Since the average pro football career lasts less than 4 years, I'll use those years as their primes.
Walker was an absolute beast his first 4 years. When you combine his rushing and receiving statistics it is staggering. He scored 75 touchdowns in those 4 years. LINK
Jackson never played 4 complete seasons of pro football. His rushing statistcs were very impressive for his limited career, but his overall contribution doesn't come close to Walker's. LINK
Walker, and it isn't even close.

Bo Jackson had 4,575 career all-purpose yards in 4 years at Auburn. Herschel Walker had 5,259 RUSHING yards in just three years.
Because Walker has a frick load more carries than Bo over his career. And Bo also missed most of his junior season after separating his shoulder in the 2nd game against Texas.
I'll take Bo. He got more yards than Walker each time he got the ball on average, scored more TDs per carry, and was more of a home run threat than Walker (more 60+ yard tds even though he had less carries).
Bo FTMFW.

Lets compare NFL then:
As noted, Bo did not play full seasons. In total in the NFL, Bo carried 515 times for 5.4 ypc and 16 TDs.
Take Walker's first 4 years, and multiple times 71% and you get the same number of carries, 515 for 4.3 ypc and 17 TDs.
Bo was better than Walker in the NFL on average each time he ran the ball.

Herschel Walker also has a national championship ring and two SEC championship rings
3 SEC rings btw.
The guy was just a freak. He separated his shoulder in the title game against ND, popped it back in place at halftime and ran for 150 and 2 TDs.

Herschel never "Quit" in a game like Bo did in that UT game. UT broke his face mask and BO didn't want to play anymore. Herschel is the best back I ever saw in college

Do you hold it against Mark Ingram for quitting against Auburn in 09?
