I bet there's at minimum a couple SP Kade Anderson is better at. He might be the ace of the team if called up right now

Woo 4.37 ERA
Castillo 4.85
Kirby 3.98

Those guys are seasoned veterans, who have had a lot of success in the past, and who make a lot of money. They aren't going anywhere unless their ERA shoots north of 6.00

Ah yes, a guy who’s never pitched above AA would be the ace of the team that’s 2nd in quality starts in all of baseball

Nah

QS is 6IP and 3ER or better. That's 4.50 ERA.

Kade is the #1 MLB prospect.

Logan Gilbert(3.44 ERA) is the Mariners ace. That could be a #2-3 starter for most teams.

There's a reason why Seattle chokes away the division lead so many times.

”Or better” is a pretty important qualifier, no?

With, as of today, an impressive 0 MLB IP

The Mariners have choked away the division exactly 1 time in the last 20+ seasons (2024) and it was on the back of an offense that was near the bottom in everything that got even worse as the season went on. That was in spite of a pitching staff that led all of baseball in ERA, WHIP, and QS. If they can’t pull it out this year it will unfortunately mirror 2024 with what is currently the 3rd worst scoring offense and a pitching staff that’s top 5 in the same major categories

I don’t know if you’re getting Seattle mixed up with another team (maybe your franchise on The Show?) but you have a interesting understanding of them

The mariners hitting is the problem. Not the pitching.

He went to lsu so he's obviously better than anyone on any team.

I thought Dylan Crews would be a cautionary tale for the rant. Hope the guy makes it but just shows the difference between college ball and even the minors much less the majors.

The organization is trying to protect his arm and his head by giving him time. Additionally I’m sure he’s a major trade chip.

Don’t worry they will. Daddy Houston will reclaim the top of the division this season and Seattle will miss postseason.

It’s clearly time for Bryan Woo to figure some things out in AAA

They've also got a young guy, Emerson Hancock, who's been solid for them this year. 6-4 with a 3.16 ERA.

I think they make the post season, and call up Kade Anderson to give them a boost.

I think they bring him up when they expand the rosters in September.

Pitching ain’t their issue. The only pitcher you listed that has a chance of moving is Castillo, even then that would be hard due to the money he is owed.

Kade will be a dawg in the league, but I have a hard time envisioning him getting called up before September
