I'm jaded as a Pelicans fan. I don't see that level of training from any of our players, maybe Bey or Alvarado.

Zion has been a fat piece of shite, clearly, but he's in shape now

Trey Murphy has completely changed his body since he got into the league

Other than Zion...who? Queen? He's a rookie.

In 1996 they were shooting 40% on 16 attempts. Say they go 20-25 more 3pr shots per game, they drop to 35%. They would make around 13-16 3pt shots per game. This would be top 5, and you still have to stop Jordan in the mid range with hand checking and no contact.

They would also probably have a top five defense as well.

This 1996 team would destroy in today NBA.

They moved the three point line in from 94-97

Those Bulls teams would suffocate and frustrate todays NBA best.

However, those Bulls would have never prevailed over Larry Bird Celts teams of the mid 1980s....which of course means today's NBA best wouldn't have had a prayer against them. Or Magic's Lakers.

Check out this 2 min montage of MJ. People nowadays forget how athletic he was. And how beat up he got yet he kept after it. Guy is the GOAT for a reason

Jordan was an athletic freak, but those plays (that at the time were considered other worldly) happen on a nightly basis in the NBA now.

the talent level is shite. They shoot a lot doesn't mean they are good at it. The nba is a dead league and lost most of its fans from the 90's and early 2000's

Right now, from top to bottom, the NBA is more talented than it's ever been lol. Like, by far.

Teams are deeper than they've ever been. Guys are running more and moving more than they ever have.

True Shooting percentages are about as high as they've ever been.

They literally had to move the 3 pt line in during the 90s lol. The 5 best shooting years in NBA history have been in the last 5 years. The 5 most efficient seasons of all time have been in the last 5 years. Guys are turning the ball over less than they ever have.

Everything you said is false

I’ll concede the league is much more athletic and better outside shooting, but Jordan and those bulls teams are underrated for their work ethic and mental toughness. Then you throw in Rodman to midfrick you, and I don’t think there’s ever been an NBA team that was a bigger mind frick to play. Tough, hardworking, and determined. Rodman, Jordan, and Pippen would have made some modern teams cry just from the mental anguish

Today’s players turn the ball over less because the refs allow walking and call a foul if you get close to a player. So of course when steals of yesterday turn into fouls today you’ll have less turnovers. And, sure, players are getting more athletic over time just like in 30 years from now those players will make guys like Wemby and Lebron look less athletic. But Jordan is the GOAT because he was doing future stuff in the past and everyone knows if you put Jordan in the league in the 2060’s he would use those training tools to the max. And just on the face of it, Jordan’s physical body was built by God for basketball unlike any past or current player. He was just big enough to force dunks over centers like Ewing and Olajuwon, yet small and thin enough to get thru double teams and utilize any opening. Very few of today’s players have that combo. Lebron has always been to big to get thru space which is why he turned to the flop because he couldn’t fit. And the shooters like Durant a d Steph and just way to small to handle going to the basket like Jordan did.

And we haven’t even discussed DEFENSE which none of the top players today spend any energy on - maybe Anthony Edwards as a top tier player.

Yep. Hell, they wouldn't have to be more physical. They'd just work harder at running the court and rebounding.

And at anyone who thinks Jordan & co couldn't adjust to today's game.

Jordan could shoot the 3.

Kukoc's game would transfer well to today.

Rodman? Still need rebounding and he was the king of rebounding.

As someone said, their defense would still stifle and create many scoring opportunities.

Given the lack of defense and relaxed rules today, Jordan scoring 50-60 a game.
