How pissed are the Baylor Donors (or any other school) who just financed massive stadium..

renovations?
If my memory serves correctly Baylor just built an entirely new pretty stadium like 6-7 years ago when Art Briles was still here. I think it happened around the same time when RGIII had just won a Heisman and they won a Big 12 championship and were being ranked pretty high for a few years. I think TCU also just did some major renovations to their stadium. Any other Big 12 schools who made big facilities investments?
I have to imagine their boosters and AD's are pissed because those probably seemed like safe investments and now they may be left hanging with substantially less annual income to pay off whatever that cost. At worst the Boosters forked up a bunch of cash to essentially be a mid major a few years down the road. It would make me sick to my stomach considering the tens to hundreds of millions that cost and the arms race that's been happening all across college football.

baylor donors getting raped you say?

Price of donations can’t dictate the performance of the team, or rape allegations, etc.

They will get to enjoy watching their beloved bears compete in the sun belt

The $$$ raised for our stadium was on the backs of a handful of donors and it was raised and fully funded after the 2009 season before we ever announced we were leaving the MWC.
HOWEVER... since the stadium opened in 2012 there have been a lot of additions, specifically a massive expansion of the east side. I think that is where its going to hurt.
Iowa State expanded Jack Trice Stadium as well.
What ticks me off is that its not even based on merit. Texas has been a mediocre team the last 10 years and they get by while better programs get the shaft.

It'll be the nicest stadium in the AAC.

The arms race in cfb is rigged and they were always going to lose.

You don't think the mediocrity on the field is part of what makes them attractive?
The SEC is essentially bringing a mark into a rigged poker game.

Eventually the knives will begin to point toward Oregon State, Northwestern, Wake Forest, etc.
It's just a matter of time. Those schools aren't safe from the greed and money race.
A 64 team conglomeration of 4 conferences is not the end game, its a checkpoint.

We did, but it's not like football is going away...it will just be a different conference.

Will be a fantastic place to watch the Bears in a crucial C-USA matchup against UTSA

When they're battling Tulane for recruits that'll be a hell of an advantage over Yulman.

Honestly I hope Arkansas gets culled if it goes down to 32 or so teams. I would rather be with the other 80 teams and still retain what makes CFB special. Less money but why would a fan really give a shite about that. By that point we would have been on the gravy train for a long time.
Hopefully we will save some of this money but could still make a good bit of money if all the other teams band together for a streaming service.
