you think women’s basketball is bad, you wild hate my kid’s 6 year old team. Zero basketball iq, turnovers galore, zero ability to finish. But I can go into it and watch him and be happy even though I know I’m not going to be seeing the same quality as, say, Zion catching an alley oop and slamming it home.

You know it’s bad when you have to compare it to 6yr old boys.

If you use your brain you can compare any two things.

You’re right. You got me.

You equated womens college basketball to 6yr old kids basketball.

I wouldn't go that far. And I'm a big men's basketball fan and rarely watch WBB. Just this past week Texas and Colorado St. played an absolutely awful game where the teams shot a combined 35%. There were SEVENTY-FOUR missed shots. They also combined for 28 turnovers. Texas won the game by double digits...despite shooting 1-14 from 3 and 11-17 from the FT. CSU had 11 points at HT. ELEVEN!! It was a boring and ugly game. I was worried a rim my break from all of the bricks.

Compare that to the LSU v Iowa WBB championship game where girls were making shots/plays left and right. Both teams shot over 50%. LSU itself made almost as many shots (38) as Texas and CSU combined to make in their game (39). It was a FAR more entertaining game some of the slow, ugly, grinds we sometime see in MBB.

So yes, 9/10 I'm going to prefer the men's game. But I can't always say "A mens college basketball game between the two worst teams is miles ahead of two top tier womens college teams". Some men's games are truly awful

If it's LSU then nothing.

Outside LSU being involved, I probably watch about the same amount of women's college basketball as college baseball....very, very little.

Ok. You’re right. I did watch some of that game you’re talking about.

But games like that are very very common in the womens game. Missed shots, turnovers, sloppy ball handling, layups just hitting the rim, etc. Whens the last time you saw a mens game like that before this one.

A grand a game and after a few months I'll be able to tell you stats on every player that's been on TV.

For LSU: $30, 2 hotdogs, and a drink per game. It was $20 when I was in college, but inflation.

For anyone else, probably $50-100/game depending on what other options I have to spend that time.

Tbh, I’m not a big basketball watcher in general, though.

The previous game CSU played vs. Virginia. While not quite as bad as the Texas game, Virginia had 14 points at the half and shot 25% overall. The teams went a combined 8-31 from three is a SLOW paced half-court slog.

There are a LOT of bad WBB games. Hell, watching Angel Reese is often painful 1/2 her points and rebounds seem to come off of her horrible misses around the rim. But there are a lot of bad men's games too. Yes, they aren't quite in danger of the bottom of the backboard being the leading shot blocker for the game. But watching guys who can make an open jumpshot clang shot after shot off the rim, thus requiring to resort to trying to get fouled on every possession and make the second half a FT shooting contest isn't that fun to watch either.

In person? $450
$300 for wasting my time, $100 for beer, $50 for some good noise cancelling ear muffs.

Are we talking sitting at a bar, TV is on type watching?
Or are we talking "A Clockwork Orange" style, strapped to a chair with eyelids pried open?

If it's just sitting at a bar, I'd watch it for a few beers.
If I am forced to pay attention, I'd need a few hundred bucks at least.

Could I at least put women's beach volleyball on the screen next to it?

I'll watch a few LSU games a year. I have daughters and I find that actually teaching the game of basketball is easier when you watch womens. It's not as fast, and they can follow the movement of the players without the ball better. So we'll watch 5 min hear and there.

Man that's ugly

I love pretty much everything LSU, but I could barely bring myself to even watch the championship game last year. The womens game is just so bad to me. I have no desire to watch 5 minutes of a Caitlin Clark game and will be glad when she graduates so I don't have to hear about her as much.

Their are a lot of girls out there that can shoot the lights out, but part of what makes the mens game enjoyable is the freak athletic nature of it. You just don't have that in the womens game.

I would have no desire to even be paid to watch WBB. I could probably be paid to watch the Final Four/Championship. For free if it's LSU.

Hey lady, any group of five 19-20 year olds who are good enough to play any type of college basketball would beat the best women’s team by 50+, even if they were all 6’ and under.

That may be a bit hyperbolic but they would definitely win, probably very convincingly.

I said a very specific thing and you quoted part of it trying to pretend it was something different than what I said. Are you usually this dishonest or is it this subject that has triggered you like this?

Yes some men’s games are horrible. I remember covering an Ole Miss at Auburn game when Tommy Joe Eagles was Auburn’s coach. It was a USA Network game on an odd night, like Tuesday or Thursday, late tip-off, like 8 p.m. CST kickoff. That game was so bad on both teams’ part, I mean nobody could do a damn thing right plus Ormond Brown and a couple of other whistle-happy officials were the crew, Naismith was spinning like a top in his grave. It was like having toothpicks driven under my nails trying to watch it as an observer, I can only imagine what it was like for fans. I’d have preferred to be at a junior high girls game.

I don't even know what a millenial is old man, as i'm pretty sure i'm older than them, no need to get your panties in a bunch.

I'll admit old man, i'm not the best at reading comprehension. Matter of fact i'm pretty terrible at it unless it's straight forward facts.
Are you saying from an entertainment level they are about the same?

oh triggered for sure. that's what millenials do right? they get triggered?
