Real rough calculation:
50,000 people x ??? dollars/day for 3 days
If ??? = $100, then it's $15 million total
If ??? = $200, then it's $30 million total
Somewhere in that range seems reasonable to me.

You mean the ones where it is documented that 1 person pays the bill and then 20 other people cram in for 2 days?

Well a lot of hotels don't allow this, and white people do this also.

Between hotels, food, drinks, tickets, for the 60-70k that come in for the game seems very believable.

You do realize more people don't go to the game than do?
200k is prob pretty accurate. Drive downtown tonight and you're tune will change

Here is a question.
The year that Houston had it, did they fight hard to keep it?

If you use the typical calculation for economic impact per person, don't forget to back off the gratuity.

The BC people are hoping for 50k in the stands this year. As always, there are many more people who go to all the events and other stuff this weekend than who actually go to the game.
The ~50k who go to the game tend to be alumni, people with corporate tickets, etc. They spend money and do so well.
Now, you have a lot of local kids who run around causing problems, but you also have a lot of students and other decent people our there to have a good time without any trouble. The latter of those people spend money, just like LSU and other students do.
So yeah, the estimate sounds about right, despite what the racists on this thread think.
