I compare how you look against your peers.

And Brady has always been at #1, at worst #2, compared to his peers until the last few years. Depending who you asked, he or Peyton was the best QB in the NFL for 15 years, and then it was all Brady until probably his last year in NE. Then he finishes 2nd in MVP voting a year ago at 44 years old. I don't even like the guy, but it's amazing how many people are being prisoners of the moment right now and trying to denigrate what Brady did over the span of 23 years

That isn’t true at all

Brady was never a statistical GOAT in terms of comparison to peers. He was a team accomplishment goat

Mahomes is marrying the two. A Wayne Gretzky/michael Jordan type

The game is much different now than it was when Brady was a 2nd year player. Brady led the league in TDs in his third year with 28. 28 TDs would have been good enough for 7th in the NFL this year. In his 5th year starting, where Mahomes is right now, Brady was 3rd in MVP voting with 4110 yards and 26 TDs. He basically had a season marginally worse than Kirk Cousins had this season. Comparing raw passing numbers from now to 20 years ago is a fools errand if you're actually trying to compare two players.
That said..

His chances are better if they will keep him and Kelce together. Like Brady and Gronk, having a quality go to guy is huge.

And I am factually correct. Mahomes pace is far ahead of Brady. It isn’t even close actually

Which is why I asked you if he can maintain a 5000 yard 35 TD average for the next 13 years. You still haven't answered that. Playing at that level for that long is what separates the GOATs in sports from guys who were simply elite. So in a frame of time which represents less than a quarter of Brady's career, Mahomes has better average numbers than Brady? Cool

Once upon a time Ken Griffey Jr was on pace to shatter Hank Aaron's home run record too.

but is he? Or is it a more passer friendly league now which ALL QBs are benefitting greatly from? And more important to his team? You can't be serious. KC was winning 12 games a year with Alex Smith. New England was dreadful before Brady took over and have been average to bad since he left. Same thing with the Bucs.

Travis Kelce and Rob Gronkowski are the same age. Kelce won't be putting up the type of numbers he has the past 5 years a whole lot longer.

Yes, he absolutely can and would be shocked if he didn’t. There is absolutely nothing that has been shown that will slow down Mahomes. Not even a high ankle sprain and facing one of the best d line ever could

Let's pump the brakes here. I hate how current society has to label every single thing as the best ever or worst ever.

Mahommes, just by the nature of the way he plays, get's hit a lot more than Brady ever did even with all the rules to protect QBs. There's a ton of factors that will play into his ability to maintain his current pace over time.

Why are you moving the goal posts now?

Mahomes is marrying the two.
He's led the league in TDs twice and yards once

Brady led the league in TDs 5 times and yards 4 times.

Mahomes has never the the league in passer rating. Brady did that twice.

3rd most sacks ever as a team

Multiple guys over 10 sacks

I mean that d line is certainly one of the best ever

According to the media? It'll be next year. He checks all the boxes for the NFL golden boy.

But he sure gets away with some ridiculous looking tosses sometimes.

Extra game. Garbage division that also got to play some "easy" teams due to QB injuries, etc. Their schedule for the last half the year frankly was a joke.

He hasn't even averaged that over the last 5 years in yards and is a shade over that in TDs, and now he's supposed to basically keep his same current pace of TDs and average more yards than he has the last 5 years over the next 13 years? And you'd be shocked if he doesn't? Seriously?

Maybe you haven't noticed, but Tom Brady is kind of a unicorn being able to play for a high level until his mid 40s. I'd be more shocked if Mahomes even plays 13 more years.

Mahomes 1 of his first 5 seasons (missed multiple games due to injury )

They aren’t comparable

You need to stay focused. Your "that it isn't true" was directed at me saying Brady was "compared to his peers" as the #1, at worst #2, QB for 15 years. You really need to stop moving the goalposts or actually pay attention to what you're responding to or both.

Brady was often 4th compared to his peers throughout his career

Without the titles, nobody has Brady over manning or Rodgers. Nobody. Most wouldn’t have him over Bree’s without titles either

Without titles, Mahomes would still be considered the best QB currently

Irrelevant

Do all QBs make all-pro? Mahomes has 2 and 2 SB MVPs. Brady had zero all-pros and his SB MVP in the stretch we’re discussing was an absolute joke. NE won SBs because of defense. KC wins SBs because of Mahomes.
