Too bad Brady will finish second in career passing yards and TDs to Drew Brees

One thing that always got me was the difference between Bledsoe and Brady in sacks. I've watched the Patriots since 85 and Bledsoe was famous for getting sacked at the perfectly wrong time. As soon as Brady took over, it was noticeably lower and stats prove it. The offensive line was the same, the coaching was the same, but the sack rate dropped 10-40% with the same staff, just a change in quarterback.

hate to say it but its intangibles like that make discussions like this impossible. Bill Russell i the same way. Compare to Chamberlain. Chamberlains stats are better but Russell has the rings

Tom was sacked a lot more in 2001 than Bledsoe was in 2000. Overall Bledsoe was sacked 5.5% of his dropbavks and Brady 4.8%

Because Aaron Rodgers has clearly played the position of QB better. He's better by any all encompassing objective individual measure.

Rodgers is also a better QB in the playoffs, again, by any individual measure you like to look at.

There's nothing intangible about one having a team of Hall of Farmers playing with him and the other guy not having that same luxury of great players.

The Manning fanboys are funny. I'll take Brady in a big game over him any day

Career playoff stats are virtually similar, maybe a slight nod to Brady, but not nearly as much of a gulf as you'd insinuate with your post.

There are two ways to believe that Tom Brady is the GOAT:

Being and idiot incapable of differentiating between individual level of play and team accomplishments (unfortunately most sports fans are dullards)

Being a Patriots fan suffering from homerism induced cognitive dissonance.

How many seasons of Brady's career has he actually performed better than every other QB? I don't feel like going to look right now, but it can't be very many. Peyton consistently outperformed him, then Rodgers came along and has done the same

Brady never had to CARRY the patriots to success in his entire career. He simply had to drive the car. He's a great driver and all, but he's no Fred Flintstone.

Belichick and Kraft are that good.

Manning/Brees/Rodgers have clearly had times where they carried their teams over long periods of time.

If fairness the Broncos actually won that super bowl game. Manning sucked in that game.

Easily, manning was blessed with first round draft picks all around him on offense, other than Moss for a year, Brady has never had that.

He's far more clutch than choke artist manning.

Since he became the focal point they are not the same dominant team.

They've made the AFC Championship Game six years in a row.

Since he won his 1st MVP in 2007 he is 1-2 in Superbowls and honestly should be 0-3 if it were not for a dumb play call by the Seahawks.

Or you could say he should be 3-0 if not for a couple incredible plays by the Giants.

Go away, troll.

Brady has played with almost as many pro bowlers as Manning/Rodgers/Brees combined

Right, forgot about the 2002 season.

Belichick's first year in New England, he took over a playoff team from the year before and they went 5-11. Yes, it was his first year, but he wasn't exactly taking over chopped liver.

That means nothing. There are first round busts every single year, and a lot of them at that.
