Bet his mom & step-dad were begging like crazy when he signed that nice extension.

The airplane incident last year probably didn't help.

yeah definitely didn't. But that was the first time in a few years that he actually did something warranting the level of criticism he received.

Sporting news has a "timeline of Odell Beckham's controversies" and almost none of it is notable outside of the post game stuff from the LSU championship game and the airplane incident.

And the postgame stuff was basically him being a really fricked up fan after his team won a title

They can’t handle the money and spotlight. You’ll probably see more of it at the college level now that guys are getting paid openly.

Beckham went to Newman and was pretty much a model student athlete at LSU. Made THAT catch against the cowboys and his head went

Thomas isn’t the headcase self deprecating saintards think he is

Brown is nuts

No, he was a headcase before that. You’re just saying that because you see it posted on message boards by other armchair quarterbacks.

The opportunity to make 50 million + is a powerful motivator. Already having that kind of money is a powerful distraction.

I can't speak on MT or AB but met OBJ a few times in college. Was never a head case

OBJ was handled amazingly by LSU. Everyone here loved him like he was a good ole boy. I had several classes with him, played basketball with him at the Rec, he seemed like a genuine dude.

Either the NFL fricked his head or LSU managed him at an elite level

They don’t. They aren’t actual students.

OBJ isn’t all that terrible.

Brown is on a planet of his own.

I don’t think he was ever normal. I think they hid it well and when he was a really young, unproven guy teammates probably told him to STFU

Definitely not the root cause of AB’s craziness but I don’t think it helped things. Dude went completely off his rocker late in his NFL career.

OBJ went to Newman and wasn’t nearly on the level of crazy that he’s shown in the NFL when he was at LSU.

Yeah, OBJ is actually a smart dude. He just started doing stupid shite in the NFL.

One of these is nothing like the others. Brown is in a class all by himself on the crazy scale. OBJ is definitely a bit throwed off and Thomas is just entitled. But by all account intelligence wise Thomas and OBJ are normal. Who knows how smart Brown is because you can't get past the crazy.

I can tell you for sure OBJ was in class all the time. I’m sure he had tutors, pre made tests, every advantage on earth.

But he was in class, in the library, doing group projects etc….

Same goes for Peterson, Claiborne, Honey Badger, etc…
