Matt Barnes is the kind of a-hole to dislocate his shoulder and laugh in your face while you're screaming at him.

Yea, no kidding.

I'll concede on Memphis, but this idea that Golden State is wayyyyyy tougher than the Clippers...yea not so sure about that.

well i'm biased b/c i'm hoping they hold on and win

gasol/randolph v. jordan/griffin will be fun

jordan/bogut will be a lot like the big man battle this series, imho

I hope Memphis beats GS too. It would be wild to have Memphis and LAC in the WCF.

When fouling Jordan the Clips scored .7 points per possession, on the season they are at 1.09 points per possession. Hacking Jordan had nothing to do with HOU losing last night.

So, you're going to ignore the effect that allowing LAC to set their defense had zero impact on Houston's hideous offense?

it would be amazing for gasol, zbo, and conley to win a title

NOt ignoring it NO but when you hold the other team .7 points on defense you can't ask for better than that.

HOU was winning up 5 FYI when fouling Jordan. He came out, Clips went on a run.

they would be the worst team to win an NBA title by a pretty big margin

without that huge comeback in game 2, this series is a sweep with all games not being close. that is a shocker luckily whomever wins grizz-warriros (hopefully grindin wins out) will hate the shite out of the clips so that series will be great no matter what
It's not really surprising. The Clippers are the one team in the NBA that really have the Rockets' number and have for several years. The Rockets just can't beat them. I have no idea how the Rockets beat them twice this year. That was a miracle.

Plus combine that with the fact that Beverley's defense against Chris Paul would be replaced by Jason Terry and Pablo Prigioni, and it's easy to understand the Rockets getting blown out.

Clippers are the worst match-up in the league for the Rockets.

55 wins is a bad historical precedent?

Agreed. Still, they'll be the underdog in each series (assuming Cavs make it to finals). I'm still terrified of Golden State running off 3 straight at any time.

I think we were told 100 times that losing Beverley wasn't a big deal because he wasn't even good this year.

outclassed by every championship team I've ever seen imo. 55 wins in one year isn't equal to 55 wins every year.

I've had that convo with SwaggerCopter more than once where he downplayed the loss of Beverly.

MEM the last 3 seasons: 56, 50, and 55 wins.

HOU the year before and the 2 seasons they won the title in the 90s: 55, 58, and 47 wins

So it's obviously not win total from season to season, maybe you have a different reason, but certainly not win total.
