When I’m thinking rain I’m thinking the kind of rain that you’re not even gonna think about throwing the ball in… the whole game becomes a muddy slugfest that becomes very low scoring and gets decided by toughness and fumbles and luck
Probably still happens in smaller schools but most 5A teams are too good now to be in those games

I don't know what's happened to people when it comes to weather around here.
It's not about rain. It's about lightning and the rules as far as 30 minute clock starting over every lightning strike. You can get down there and start/stop 5 times or never even get the game in as it keeps popping all night.

Keeping games on as scheduled and dealing with actual weather conditions in select areas as it occurs is by far the most sensible choice.
This isn't a hurricane. Moving is more trouble than it's worth.

The problem with moving a bunch of games to Thursday will be referees also. You can’t move all the game to Thursday.

It's amazing how quickly momentum can shift in high school games. I've seen teams playing well completely fold after a turnover.

Yes it’s the same number of games, but the ref shortage still matters. You know you can’t have the same number of refs officiating multiple games on the same night.
There’s a reason why many schools/associations already have some games scheduled on Thursdays.
