High school games for Friday Oct 2 moving to Thursday?

Hearing reports that some schools are considering trying to move Friday games to Thursday due to potential bad weather on Friday

Landmass might be getting bad weather.
Lightning is dangerous and even with a monsoon you're going to have a debacle like that one Steelers-Dolphins game.

Fields that aren't turfed will be wrecked for the remainder of the season if they play games in torrential rain. Potential injuries down the line. Not every school has some elite grounds crew and it's up to the coaching staff to maintain it. If you have a grass field I'd sure as hell move the game up a day.

That’s great if you’re the better team… but if not, you should want weather and a field surface more suited toward mucking the game up and negating the opponent’s strength
I feel like we lost a playoff game once when we let the opponent move it to a turf field, when we had to agree to it too and it suited their style of play more than the grass we could have played on

I’ve seen some really good passing teams have an advantage in adverse weather/field conditions

You know the logistics of moving a game at the high school level when it comes to security, referees, busses, cheer/band/all the other shite that goes along with it? Moving it the day before effects a lot of people.
