Alfafa is a head case, Xander can't win the big one, Cantlay's game has been missing in action all season, and what's happened to Rahm's game all year? Collin Morikawa is struggling in all the big moments, what's the deal? Will Jordan Speith ever get his 2015 game back? Billy Horschel has plenty to say but is nothing more than PGA fodder. Zach Johnson is old too why is he still playing? How many tourneys will Tony Finau play before he ever wins another John Deere classic?

You need to go check the world golf rankings if you think these guys are struggling. This is an insane argument to compare these guys to players clearly on their down trend. Check how far DJ, Brooks, and Louis have slid in WGR the last 2 years. Your argument doesn’t hold water.

They can’t have majors next year minus guys like Cam Smith, Hideki Matsyama, Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Bryson Dechambeau and many more.
I don’t think this would hurt the majors in the slightest

Have any of the majors announced they are going to block LIV players from the 2023 majors?

I think the future success or lack thereof for the LIV tour is dependent on whether or not they are able to secure a TV contract with a major network, eg, Fox or ABC.
I mean, that’s goin to happen.

Question:

Say LIV is never even a thought and the PGA one day says, “shite, we have done wrong by professional golfers and we are now implementing a 14 event league where we pay billions to the top 48 golfers on earth.”

Would we like that? Would that improve our viewing experience? Would the amount of enjoyable weeks of professional golf increase?

Look in a mirror. On second thought you live in a dumpster in Brooklyn. You don't have a mirror.

If LIV folds, I don't expect the Tour to change a thing.

LIV won’t fold, imo.

And more guys will leave for it after East Lake.

We(those of us who want LIV to fail) just have to hope the defectors continue to be guys similar to the ones who have already left.

I think it depends on how much money the Saudis want to waste.

The current Players and British Open champ is about to jump.
Last year’s Masters champ is about to jump.
Rumors of about a dozen more players in the world top 50 rankings about to jump.

You aren’t having a real major if you ban all those guys.

Every other sport has free agency, now golf does and the two main tours ain't liking it.

Free agency in every other sport you play with whichever team you sign with, not that you can play with Team A a bit and then play with Team B some other weeks.

They don't hire just anybody off the street. I had a 30 minute interview with Chuck Will the Associate Producer.

Henrik is one of my favorite players. Great guy. But ... It's still senior tour lite.

Can someone explain where they are going to fit these players and still maintain their model

The quality of players they have been able to get in such a short time is pretty impressive, but if they can pull Cam I will be blown away. That will be the first truly surprising one for me. Even with his shady post round press conference, I have a hard time seeing this.

If they do, they will fall out of the OWGR pretty fast because they aren't allowed to play in official events so they will quickly be viewed as bums. Even though LIV players overall just had a really strong showing at the Open.

I love seeing golf in the news this much.
