Whoa!

Also, is being reported Scott, Lieshman, and Cam Smith joining LIV.

I’m interested to see is Cam leaves and for how much.

Most of these guys are in a no brainer situation. They grind on tour for years and make $20m. Then with one contract, they double that amount.

And Hideki likely after the playoffs.

The PGA and DP Tour need to get their heads out of their butts. They don’t need to kick these guys curb. Most of the guys heading to LIV helped to carry the PGA, or carry the European Tour and Ryder Cup teams.

So they want to take a huge paycheck? So what? Stripping Stenson of his Ryder Cup captaincy will cause some big waves, and not in the DP Tour’s favor.

I feel like this is way more about LIV firing a shot at the Ryder Cup than trying to add another quality player.

The cool thing is that there are 5 more LIV events this year after the FedEx Cup playoffs end (all in September/October).

Yep, I can see why they see the threat though.

Right now, LIV's schedule is barely anything, but obviously the Saudis basically have endless money and could just as easily work their way to a weekly schedule and pay more money than the PGA.

The PGA's plan A was to take away tour cards from anyone who left for LIV, and hopefully scare anyone else from doing it, but that's clearly not working. For their own survival, they have to go to plan B and that likely means coming to some agreement with LIV that allows players to play for both without penalty.

I doubt they ever go to a weekly schedule like the PGA. These dudes want to play less golf.

I could see their schedule capping out around 20 events, with some sort of max requirement (maybe 15) for its players.

Just because you have a weekly schedule, doesn't mean you have to play weekly.

If LIV goes to a weekly schedule and pays more than the PGA, you will see a lot of young lower ranked PGA guys and even Korn Ferry guys make the move.

I don't know if that is what LIV wants though, just saying that they have the money to really frick the PGA if they want to.

They personally attacked these guys character and morals. That was a way wrong move.

And I hope every one of Rory’s Ryder Cup buddies (Stenson, Westwood, Sergio, GMac, Casey) tell Rory to shut his mouth because none of them were given $200 million from Nike when they were 24 years old. Rory got his huge payday, he doesn’t need the money anymore. These guys are going for they retirement pay day.

Doubt it goes past 12 events

12 events plus the 4 majors is enough for most of these guys

They want to play every 2-3 weeks or so from March to October

We don't know what it will mean. No one has read the contracts for these guys. I am under the impression, as of now, that the LIV players are expected to play all events they are invited to play.

They will eventually acquiesce. But not until LIV breaks their will. Drip, drip, drip.

I have read that 2024 is the first year they plan to have a "full schedule." We will just have to see what a full schedule means.

Pretty sure it's 14 events. These guys want to play 20 events a year so that's about right

If that is the case, kinda sucks for golf fans, no?

Means less golf on tv and considering it's a world tour, means less american exposure too.

Yeah, I understand a lot of casuals watch golf for the 4 majors and maybe 2 or 3 other events a year, but if that is LIV's plan, that doesn't seem good for the game.

I wasn't aware the PGA Tour was going to cease to exist.

None of these guys play The John Deere or the Sanderson anyway, so I don't think it really changes anything that much. The top guys play the big dick events, the big dick events may change slightly, but the top guys will still be playing in the same fields
