The point is everyone with the iq of a goldfish knew this game wouldn’t be close. What’s the point. Better teams who didn’t get to play with a greater chance or making it interesting even if they don’t.

The Power conferences and Notre Dame came up with these rules and the ACC screwed up how they figure out who plays for the conference championship.

Yeah I like seeing the same 8 teams every year.
If Notre Dame doesn’t have to join a conference then a G5 team has every right to get in over them.

If a non power 5 team goes undefeated they’ll get in.
Absurd a 10-2 Tulane got in.
Boise was 11-1 last year and they deservedly got in. Close loss to Oregon.
JMU is even worse getting in

The point is they don’t want to face antitrust litigation by providing no path for G5 teams and the SEC schedules lots of these teams OOC.
They put up 421 yards and won time of possession, but turned it over 3x and had a bunch of drives stalled out in ole Miss territory. To act like they were complete dogshit is silly. Game could have easily been 17-9 at half if not for the INT and drop on 4th down.
They had the ball at the Ole Miss 43 down 17-3 in the second half and stalled out for like the 5th time and ole Miss finally pulled away. Thats what the better team does when you keep stalling drives without getting points.

Would still be better than handing Notre Dame an auto bid because they won a natty back in the 80s. Once Notre Dame wins 1 conference game then they should have a chance at the playoffs.
