record setting, no.

But a few years back I went to watch the Lakers @Rockets. The year World Peace played for Houston. Kobe wasn't playing all that inspired, neither were the Lakers, in the first half.

At the end of the 1st half there's a bit of a scuffle between Kobe and Ron Artest. Houston fans go nuts over nothing, as usual. Kobe comes back out to play one the best 2 quarters of basketball I've ever seen. Couldn't be stopped a single time down court. Kobe dropped around 30 that half. Lakers ended up coming back and winning.

After every basket he was staring Ron Artest down. Was amazing.

I went to the chargers game where Drew broke Unitas' consecutive games with a TD record. That's about it.

Saw Alley Broussard's 250 yard performance back in '04, most in a single game by an LSU player.

I was a little kid and don't remember shite about it except it was cold as frick, but I was at the Air Force v Georgia Tech game when Eddie Lee Ivery set the NCAA single game rushing record. He went for 356 yards on 26 carries, with touchdown runs of 57, 73, and 80 yards.

I saw Shaq rip the rim off the backboard during the purple and gold game.

Not a record but that's the best I can do.

LSU football:
- most rushing yards in a game (Alley Broussard, 2004)
- longest field goal (Wade Richey, 1996)
- longest punt return (Eddie Kennison, 1994 - sat in the upper deck, which was amazing because you got to see everything open up and him running all over the field)

Mississippi State: most points scored in school basketball history (Troy State, 1995)

I was at the ND vs Mich football game in '88. Saw Rocket Ismail take 2 KOs to the house. Not sure if that's a record but given the stage (#1 vs #2) it was a big feat at the time.

I was there when Rickey Henderson broke the all-time stolen base record. I was also there when Nolan Ryan threw his 6th no hitter. The craziest thing I can recall witnessing was Roger Clemens getting ejected from an ALCS game in 1990 for arguing balls and strikes. I was sitting in row 6 behind home plate, and Clemens was cussing at the umpire. Still, it was a shock to see him tossed from the game in the second inning.

Saw Michael 'Red' Richardson set a Northwestern State record with five interceptions in one game. I was actually calling the game on the university radio station.

I was there for Nolan's 7th no-hitter, but I was pretty young. I just remember the electricity of the crowd and the roar when it happened

That's crazy. Nolan threw number 7 the day Rickey broke that stolen base record.

Drew Brees breaking Marino's 5048 yards in a season

Drew Brees breaking Unitas' 47 games with a TD pass

Drew Brees tying Dan Marinos mark with 4 TDs in 3 straight games

Most first downs in a game: 40 by Saints over Cowboys

Most total yards in a season: 2696 by Darren Sproles

Saw Michael Jordan pass Wilt for second on the all-time scoring list against the Hornets.

A plethora of records set at the All-star game last week.

Saw Jimmy break Kellen Winslows yards by TE record, then saw him lose it to Gronk, then get it back again...then lose it again

I went to the last game at the old Yankee Stadium. Wasn't a record setting performance, but felt pretty historic. Closest thing I got
