Has there ever been a pos switch (for lack of depth) that's worked out for that player?

I know we switch new recruits all the time, or at least force guys who were two way in HS (which is almost all of them) to focus on one spot. I also know there's been issues in spring ball a couple times over the last 30 years when a player had to move spots to have bodies for camp. Usually those guys were 2nd/3rd string anyway and often get buried/transferred/processed eventually.
My question: has anyone ever switched positions after being relatively established at one spot, and then gone on to have a fruitful career (at LSU or beyond) at their new spot???
All I could think of was Russel Wilson (QB to WR), but that wasn't a lack of depth/spring ball issue. He was an elite athelte trying to get on the field. Wasn't Devin White getting looks at RB for a split second maybe?

Great call, he was fresh all SEC at TE.
But did he move because we had depth issues at DE or other reasons?

Josh Reed was RB at Rayne High. I think he was still playing RB freshman year before transitioning to WR

Devery Henderson was a RB... worked out extremely well for him.

ARod moving to 3rd base was pretty successful with the Yankees.

Since you mentioned Eric Martin, I believe that Herman Fontenot was also a Rb (or at least recruited as one) before player WR at LSU. In the pros, he switched back to the RB with the Cleveland Browns.
There was also a player in the 80s (I think) named Kenny Davidson (?) who switched between OL and DL at LSU multiple times, but got to the pros with the Steelers and had a solid career as a DL.
And of course, Jack Hunt had that one player where he switched back to WR while becoming three inches taller…..
