Hardest position to play in football

For those of you who played football, what do you consider the most demanding, toughest overall position to play? I feel like a lot of people might say quarterback, but for others, what position do you feel like is tougher or maybe comes in close second?

Demanding and toughest is open to interpretation.
Athletically? I would say cornerback.

To play well? I’d say cornerback if excluding qb. Also if you’re not asking someone 175 lbs to play LT, etc.

With modern day rules, I'd say corner

I would think Center. They have to know everything that’s going on across the line. Know the entire defense.
Similar to catcher on the baseball field. Have to know everything that’s going on and have a lot more responsibilities than everyone else. Hence you see so many ex-catchers as managers.

Without a question, QB.
Outside of that position, in today’s game, it’s either CB or LT (RT for a left-handed QB).

Pros, I believe center would be my answer. A lot of line calls to be made for any particular play. Add in proper footwork and actually blocking and that’s a hard days work.
College, center as well.
Any other level I’m going MLB because they line up the defense and still have to meet a RB in the hole.
I played safety and slot/wr. Neither were hard except for the amount of running I did.

Offensive Lineman is the most physically demanding

OL. Hardest and most important position in the sport. On top of that, it’s required that you be 250+ pounds in order to play that position

Pro football - cornerback
College football - quarterback
High school football - place kicker

Running back because you have to pick up blitzes and blocks, catch out of the backfield, and hit the correct hole on running plays. Plus, you ain't lasting long in the NFL.

Well history tells us TE takes the longest to translate... rookies never make the pro bowl

I’d say the 2 hardest are
QB and CB
QB and CB

Strong Safety is hard because you’re basically playing DB but you gotta walk down and play LB in some situations. They probably have the most assignments on field, in our scheme at least. We played a 4-2-5 that ran Cover 3 the majority of the time

OT
They are in charge of protecting the clubs franchise qb
And you can have 67 great blocks, and it only takes 1 miss to end the QB's season. And everyone draws the lines showing how you missed the block. Even tho you had an A+ game, that 1 out of 68 plays dwarfs ur whole game, possibly season

At the least the rules favor the OT these days, it’s so much harder to get a shot on a QB with out a flag now. You can frick up at OT can get bailed out with a soft roughing the passer.
Corner can hardly breath without a flag. The nfl needs to get rid of spot on PI. Drives me nuts to see Flacco under-throw a ball and get gifted a PI because his WR has to hit the breaks

Another thing that needs to be considered is which position (besides QB) takes the most mental processing ... CB probably is the hardest from a physical standpoint... but much of it is reaction rather than diagnosing

Not a valid metric if Andrus Peat makes it and Colston never did. It's a popularity contest.
