Since they didn't go through the type of slavery that black people did in this country, I'm pretty sure it was easier for their families to bring, accumulate, and keep their wealth.

That said, Pop needs to settle tf down.

Bitch please. Ask my parents what they brought from commy Vietnam.

They had no wealth or education. They had a damn insane work ethic though. Still do in their 60s.

Oh and it was black and white America that treated them like shite when they were shrimping in the 80s and 90s in South Louisiana. Iono how many times I would have to go down to empire to watch my dad repair windows and holes people made in his boat as a kid. Never deterred him from working hard and providing for his family

I'm sick of this bullshite. It's only ok to anger somebody if the angered person is right wing.

God forbid a left winger gets their jimmies rustled.

Pop is a fricking clown show. His act with reporters is old too.

What destabilized their communities (and you can look this up) was young pregnancies and then Dad bolting from the home leaving a single parent to raise multiple children. The blow up of the traditional black family is largely the source of their issues.

Sociological phenomena don't happen in a vacuum. Blacks had made significant strides in measurable areas, such as infant mortality rates & standardized test scores prior to the crack epidemic. This is not speculative.

Asians are not considered minorities by progressives.

As a whole, no matter where they originate from, they are very successful.

Because of this, their minority status was revoked.

Okay. Agree to disagree. Their families are in shambles. Blame on what you want but it’s a serious issue.

Yeah, we get grouped with Caucasians or ignored altogether.

But it's dishonest and ignorant to think we had life easy. Maybe mine was, but my parents were (and still is) hard labor.

Those shite minimum wage jobs, my parents took. Didn't speak English very well (still don't), but they did what they could to raise their 3 kids. They didn't have an education either.

I get annoyed as hell when people say we had it easy.

Filipinos worked their asses off locally. They may have several jobs, and three generations in a house but they've become middle class

White people feel the same way when they are called “privileged” and people act like they have it easy.

People who busted their arse their whole life to make something of themselves being told they are privileged and have it easy by people who were lazy and dicked around through school and now work at Walmart.

Says that, and lives in this home in a gated community with security guards out front. Guess it's not under his nose when he's home behind his walls.

Real shite, people need to just remove the white out if it.

There's privilege, period. Not all white people get it, my neighbors didn't. But sure as hell doesn't mean black people or females don't get it.
