This is such a dumb statement that has now been used several times

No. It's an accurate statement. UConn finished 3rd in their conference this year and now they are playing for a national title.

Kentucky finished 2nd in a shitty SEC and lost to the #1 overall seed three fricking times this year. Yet they get to play for a national title as well.

The regular season does not mean shite.

People always criticize college ball saying ?the best teams didn't win it all. I find that argument invalid. ?the best team had a chance to win it all. But they lost. So that is just too bad. Its not always about being ?the best team. But of who is playing ?the best basketball at the right time.

While I am not a big fan of basketball, I have to say that the NBA has the best playoff system of any league on the planet. Who ever wins the NBA title is pretty much the best team in basketball.

Format is correct, but the balance is fricked up because the Eastern conference is so bad.

If the Pacers struggles continue I can't think of really anyone in the East who could take the Heat to at least 6 games. Compare that to the caliber of teams OKC or San Antonio is going to have beat series after series and the level of competition isn't even close.

Tournament is exciting but it’s a terrible way to award a national championship

Question: How many teams in this tournament had more pros than Kentucky and UCONN?

Michigan State? Kansas? Duke?

Means the selection committee did a shitty job seeding the teams. Everyone said Kentucky as an 8 was a joke.

Well, they did lose 10 games. I don't know where else you'd put them.

Pretty much every bracketology that was out had them as a 5 or a 6

I dont think its good or bad. But more importantly, it shouldn't be compared to other sports. The big 3 major sports (pros/ncaa) all have different regular/post season and collectively they work. Its interesting as a whole.

Every post season has flaws.

For me, the college basketball tournament is my favorite sporting event due to the excitement and importance of each game, but not the best way of determining the best team over the course of a full season as the national champion.

Bad. I'm not watching.

Arizona - Florida....
Also anything with UVA, Wich Stat, or UL, I'd tune in.

I'm not very interested in watching blue-bloods which happen to make it to the Champ game after under-performing all year.
I want them both to lose.

As much as I hate Florida athletics, they went 36-3 this year in basketball and were one game away from the championship game to face a team they beat 3 times this year.

UConn caught them on a bad night, which happens when you are on a 30+ game win streak...Florida was clearly the best team this year

So again, you would rather watch a team that has now gotten beat twice, including by double digits, by a team that finished 3rd in their conference

And a team from an even weaker conference that lost in the round of 32 to a team with SIX true freshmen that have found their rhythm and lost to this glorified #1 overall seed that lost twice to the other team in the title game?

Your logic sucks but keep trying. Maybe you will figure it out after awhile

Yes because UConn's defense did absolutely nothing? The druggie Wilbekin got shut down and looked awful all game. It's funny how UConn gets no credit for beating this amazing glorified team TWICE, and yet Florida was just "off"
