Get in here Louisville fans, let's talk about tonight and the future

Okay Louisville fans, let's talk. While the "experts" think this should be a blowout tonight, I don't think that is going to happen. It's going to be a very hostile environment for UK with the red out or whatever, and I do think emotions will be high.
I do expect UK to win, but I expect it to be by less than 10, maybe 5-8. I expect the game to be in doubt till the last 2 minutes. We'll see.
Now, Kenny Payne. I will admit, it's not working out. I legit thought he would be a home run hire. I don't follow closely, and knew last year would be bad because of what he was taking over, but did they get any recruits they were after, is he making any progress with the roster? I read about the one kid leaving, but sounds like a bad apple.
If you end up moving on from him this year, I think Chris Beard should be the target. Would be an instant quality coach who would have served his year in purgatory known as starkford.
In general I like it when Louisville is good. I think it elevates the state, and keeps us from playing on a Thursday night at 6pm. Louisville is a blue blood and top 7 all time program. I want you to be good, just not too good. :)

I don’t think Beard would move after 1 year. Plus ole miss has more money than Louisville
They should target an sec coach with lots of integrity and a very nice family

It’ll be a close game IMO. Thinking UK by 5-6. UofL will come to play, we better be ready.

I don't give a shite. I'm not watching one second of it. We are waiting for Kenny Payne's firing to start caring about Basketball again. I hope he gets embarrassed tonight

It was a great, bold, hire by the Ole Miss AD. But Beard is at Ole Miss out of necessity. Not desire. He’s not staying there long.
This is his mandatory “penance” year imposed by the media. If he continues to have a good season and a program with more prestige/promise than Ole Miss comes calling (and that’s 75% of major conference programs) he’s gone.
It sucks as an Ole Miss fan because he’s a great coach and they were willing to seize the opportunity when others wouldn’t. But that’s the reality

Not to mention a guy who clearly knows how to win in the state of Kentucky. It makes too much sense! Yes, that SEC team’s fanbase may be a bit sad. But I’m sure they will understand

Indeed a coach with a high win percentage in Kentucky would be nice for them.
The coach is so nice that sec school would waive his buyout to return home

Yep. Ole Miss was just the option he had. If they have a good season after getting through the cupcake portion, he will have suitors. I would be shocked if UL isn't the main one.

We heard this with Kiffin too. We have a nice new stadium and can pay with the big boys. Of course he could still leave but we can and will make it difficult to say no. Our AD is a basketball legend here.

Hate to break it to you, but Louisville has the donors with deep pockets to make whatever it takes to happen…don’t forget, when UL is rolling, they are by far, the most profitable basketball program and it’s not close due to the Yum Arena sweet deal.

You should take a look at Louisville basketball’s finances. They are one of the wealthiest programs in the sport with deep-pocketed boosters and NBA-quality facilities.

Will probably be more KY fans than UL fans at the game tonight
Idk if any UL fans are looking forward to tonight's beat down.

There are absolutely going to be more UK fans there than Louisville. Kenny Payne has created this and he will have to sit through it.

Playing well so far. Don't give up yet.

The rout is about to happen. We couldn't guard Arkansas State so this was going to be a disaster
