re: George Springer of the Atros obviously has an anxiety issue, which is obvious on camera.

Ya I feel real bad for the guy.
This logic is the exact logic behind the "check your white privilege" bullshite.

It seems like a thread Oweo would start on the OT Lounge.

sort of fits the criteria for don't start a thread for each random thought that comes across your mind.

its just a message board.

GOAT stutterer because he never shied away from any interview...he said, this is who I am...and would expect you to wait until he got his words out...and he was bad....like a real problem.

As someone else who has a severe stutter and is on the opposite side of interviews, it sucks arse
Shockingly, girls love a stutter though. So at least we have that.

Remember how LSU fans were making fun of Alabama's slow fat linebackers before the natty bc they couldn't stop the option and then they murdered us lmao

That's really cool. I'm sure that means the world to some kids growing up with stutters to see him in tv.
He wore a mic for a half inning during the all star game for this exact reason. He raises money to help kids with speech therapy. Really great guy.
SI article about it

I will say that his interviews have improved.

Did you just type this out to simulate a stutter?

It’s something you’re born with. There’s no “source”, unless you have a TBI/stroke and end up with it that way.

I like him more because of his issue

Yeah, it's not anxiety.
But anxiety can cause minor episodic stuttering and it does...sort of mush mouth happens with anxiety.
But constant stuttering at a high level is something else, it's a speech disorder.

Im telling you that constant stuttering can have a base cause of anxiety. I think much of the time this is the case.

His stutter usually is just a quick hesitation. Not hugely noticeable. It's a little bit more obvious tonight he's amped and probably more anxious to get the words out. Dude doesn't hide from interviews and his an advocate for children with stuttering problems. Respect.

Agreed. I am much better now than when I was younger, but I get REAL bad when I get excited. Aside from that it’s random.
I also have moments where I try to say a word and just can’t. Like 5-6 seconds of trying to spit it out and I have to use a synonym
