Remember the committee put in Ohio St with Cardale Jones, a 3rd string qb? The Buckeyes won the B10 by scoring 59 points. That's the definition of style points. Committee decided OSU was just as good with him, as they were with its starter. It was a dfferent result this time around. I made the argument last year, that Bama should've been in. Losing 2 games both on the last play shouldn't matter. Oddsmakers had them favored over all 4 from last year. The committee knew they screwed up by putting TCU in. Look what Georgia did in that game. FSU crapped it's own bed by not scoring enough points against Louisville for the committee to make its decision and put them ahead of Bama.

Wrong how? You're telling me Alabama wasn't one of the 4 best teams in the country last year? That's ridiculous. Rooting for the little guy is bad theater for ratings. Is the system flawed? Absolutely. It has been for many years. Over the weekend, I talked about the same topic, and some knucklehead dude almost had a stroke because I mentioned one word, SABAN and Alabama. It's more of an emotional hatred than logical thinking as to why many people believe Alabama doesn't belong without looking at the facts. The debate is ridiculous, and pure stupidity.

The fact is FSU was undefeated but was a BAD football team without Travis.
It would have been a disaster to put a bad football team in the CFP. As much as it hurts LSU’s feelings to put Bama in, it was the only choice.

You're comparing apples to oranges. The committee got it completely wrong with then, and te result was a total beat down in the NCG. I guess you were good with Cincinnati 2 years ago too, right? Please.

What a maroon
Its a meaningless bowl game that several other FSU starters have already opted out of. If he sticks around to play in the game, then he screws himself in the portal later because most schools who are in need of a QB will have already filled that need by then and his transfer options will be much more limited.
ETA: the NCAA can fix this problem by pushing back the transfer portal opening date until after bowl games are over.

The NCAA told him he wasn’t good enough and he’s the reason his team didn’t make it to the playoffs. His teammates probably resent him for that. That's a lot to put on a college kid.
