Tommie Frazier would be my #1, had he been able to stay healthy all 4 years. He was something else.

He was unreal but its a little different having the ball at every snap and do things , but its alot harder to have the ball handed or pitched to you and then do amazing this....

Sanders was just special.....

Isn't Cam Newton the only player on Auburn's offense that year to catch a pass or something in the NFL?

I could believe it. His best offensive teammate in terms of NFL career was a guard who hung around as a backup for 4 years.

I mean Darvin Adams, Phil Lutzenkirchen, Ontarrio McCaleb, Michael Dyer and others were really good college players. But there is a stark contrast between that supporting cast and what Joe Burrow had for example. Its completely night and day

Newton is not even the best QB, therefore can not be the best player.

Cam had one season. If you have him at 1, you lose all credibility not having Burrow at a minimum in the top 3

Lists like this for college should be done on a “greatest season ever” and not greatest player . Older guys by default should be considered greater college players because they all played for 3-4 years. You now get guys like Cam, Burrow, etc who only play 1-2 years.

Cam has an argument for GOAT season, now sure how you can say GOAT player when guys like Herschel Walker and Barry Sanders played 3-4 years.

Hell Tebow honestly is probably the GOAT of the last 20 years simply because he played all 4 years at a super high level

This guy should be banned from any future lists

Barry Sanders played 3-4 years.

Barry only had one year as the man because he played behind Thurman Thomas, who had 1800 yds his senior season.

Anyway I'd say Cam and Barry are 1-2 for all-time seasons. When I was at CU, I saw Barry in person put away a game late with a long touchdown run, he was unstoppable.

If it is based on just one season, give me Joe Burrow from 2019.

so they have Dan Morgan as the only defender on in the Top 10?

Nothing against him but Derrick Thomas was way better.

Defensive players tend to not get as much love in overall player rankings lists or awards. Them and OL.

Cam Newton has more NFL catches than anyone on Auburn’s 2010 roster…combined.

The only other player from that roster that even played for the NFL was RT Brandon Mosely, and he started one game in three years for the NYG.

Well, he didn’t in terms of pro success.

Isn’t that how most players are remembered?

See my post above. There was only one other player on that 2010 Auburn offense to make an NFL start, and it was literally one start.
