Couldn't have asked for a better race towards the title.

These impressions are pretty great. Max is spot on.

Please make this happen. Hamilton will leave them in the dust, but Gasly, Alonso, and Norris fighting for a podium finish would be epic. They might be able to hold Bottas off. When Tsunoda qualifies high, he rarely has the race pace to maintain it. Verstappen will move up. Bottas is the big question mark for me in this scenario. I want Gasly, Alonso and Norris to fight for the two podium spots.

Sucks because it looked like there were no yellow lights, but there were yellow flags.

World feed didn't seem to show a caution either.

Vettel already adding gas to the flames suggesting the race director cancelled the yellow because Max was pushing on his final quali lap.

McLaren perplexed by stewards’ ruling into Max’s defence

McLaren team boss Seidl is baffled as he feels Verstappen’s antics were harsher than Norris’ move on Sergio Perez at the Austrian GP.

“Looking at the comparison with Lando’s case, we definitely have some questions,” he said as per Motorsport.com.

“Lando got a penalty in Austria for something which, from our point of view was debatable. You can definitely argue that what happened in Austria was Lando’s corner.

“It was different to what we have seen in Brazil and therefore we are very interested on, not necessarily the ruling from today, or the outcome of today’s investigation, because that’s a different process, but more understanding what Michael will brief to the drivers in the drivers’ briefing, on how they see things moving forward.

“I think whatever the outcome is, it will definitely change the approach of the drivers to certain manoeuvres on track. That’s why it’s interesting to clarify.”

As for Norris, he too says it is not right that he was penalised and Verstappen wasn’t.

“His looked a lot more intentional than mine,” he said.

“I mean, he didn’t steer into Lewis, but he didn’t continue to steer into the corner either. It was obviously purposely done and very wide. He pushed the limits.”

That Sainz impression. Kimi was pretty spot on, too.

Also, he spent a small fortune on the apparel in that video.

Yeah, I like the no call on Max, but Mclaren is 100% right to question what the hell the limits are. Lando collecting that penalty earlier in the year is way more acceptable than what Max did.

I do think that now that the GPDA is involved, and looking to make stewarding a big deal, we might see more consistent stewarding. It will at least make the FIA address the situation.

They might even go after Masi. He is nowhere near Goodell levels, but damn he has had a lot of dangerous questionable actions that seem motivated by "the show" rather than "the sport"

So from what it sounds like both of them didn’t notice the physical yellow flags being waved but that their dashboards and the flashing trackside markers never flashed yellow. Kinda a crappy penalty.

Welp… nobody is catching Hamilton. Hopefully max can claw back into 2 and at least stop the bleeding.
