It seemed like the right call at the time but with Perez finishing P2 Stroll has to be salty.

So what would have been Stroll's chance for a podium if he had stayed out like Hamilton?

He was really struggling before the stop too. Perez was gaining on him by about a second a lap IIRC and by that point Lewis, Max, and Seb were gaining on the RPs pretty quickly.

I doubt he makes the podium even if he stayed out but he probably would have been better than 9th of he didn't pit. He had about zero grip on those new inters.

Hamilton doing Hamilton things and absolutely crushed it today to show why he's 7-time WC. He's not my favorite driver, but damn if is he isn't one of the best.

Experience was the winner today. The younger guys just didn't have the stress endurance to make it to the end.

Decent race... Mercedes got lucky with no rain. Staying out was the right strategy again

He was one of the only drivers to keep their car pointed the right direction the whole race and still some are trying to say that was all luck.

Yup and he has unreal feel. All the “tyres” stuff seems to be gamesmanship half the time, and so many races he has a feel for things and makes a call that wins the race. Last race he pushed for the overcut and he extended his lead to an uncatchable amount. This race he got onto the tires, got the huge lead, and made the right call to not pit unnecessarily and make it a race

Saw on the WTF1 race meme review that Binotto wasn’t at the race and Ferrari finished 3 / 4. Should the Scuderia keep him out of race control for the rest of the season?

Seb mentioned something in the post race presser.

I think he was only half joking.

Seb's eventual book might be a pretty fun read.

I loved LeClerc's move near the end of the race. I know that it didnt work out but I like the competitiveness to the end.

I thought it was really good too. Leclerc had already made the pass coming off the previous corner, but went too hard holding the spot. Perez had nothing left but had the better line into the second corner. Not sure why Leclerc didn't cover him off.

facebook link of the whole battle.

Saw a report this morning that Racing Point confirmed there was damage to Stroll's wing that wasn't visible that made for his understeer and graining issues. Weird that they have a driver complaining of understeer and graining and can see the data showing they're losing downforce and still leave him out and never do a wing swap.

Looking ahead, these Bahrain races should be something. First circuit with three DRS zones, second circuit an all-out sprint for 87 laps under the lights.

Could be awesome or could be a snoozer. I guess it depends on how they handle blue flags. I really don't know. Qualifying could make Monza look like child's play.

I want to pull for Albon so much, but he makes it SOOOO difficult to do so. Just want to see a competent and consistent driver in the 2nd RB seat.
