Former Walker, now former Sulphur High School Coach Cecil Thomas fired 4 games in

Apparently, 21 seniors has quit as soon as he started. Many other underclassmen also quit. Sulphur was down to a 175 lb Center in the OL.

No idea. I’m sure someone with more info will follow through. It’s the fastest I’ve ever seen a coach fired, that didn’t frequent Alabama strip clubs, at any level.

What could he have possibly done that was so bad? I typically lean toward the kids being a bunch of assholes when a new coach comes in and they all quit.

Unless I see otherwise, I treat this as a case of the inmates running the asylum, especially if a bunch of those players return now that he is gone.
Fire a coach in the offseason based off his merits or lack thereof. No point in HS to dump one in midseason short of there being a crime or moral turpitude involved.

He had already had multiple meetings with admin and one with the superintendent about his behavior towards players etc... name calling, insults etc. that go beyond normal coach to player motivational things
