Anyone asserting that the redskins name is the only or primary reason people hate snyder is doing some crazy revisionist history

No but I also don’t think they’d have gotten some of the other pieces that have helped with Snyder there either.

By the end, the Redskins were having trouble attracting coaches, free agents, front office, etc without paying above market value.
Snyder took over the 2nd most valuable franchise in the NFL and turned it into a 25 year disaster. The sale made it possible for the team to be competitive again. There are other bad owners, but none that I’m aware of have destroyed an advantaged franchise in nearly the same way as Snyder.

I have never once ever heard one decent thing said about this guy and I still have no idea how he made his money because I always do a deep dive and how successful people got that way and his is like a mystery. He bought a couple of ad firms and then rolled it up to a bigger ad firm and got a bunch of Stockton. Next thing you know he's buying the Redskins.

Yeah those reasons being federal probes into the financials and sexual misconduct. You can be a shitty owner as long as you want but when you start to cost the other owners money you will find out real quick

Snyder actively hated the team and fanbase and basically did everything possible to make both groups miserable. Like anything that would make the workplace or game day good he did the opposite. He’s truly the worst owner to probably ever exist
