Nebraska is dead. Miami still has a shot because that area is still loaded with talent.

None of these, the real answer is Georgia Tech and Colorado.

GT is the furthest away, has below average facilities, academics that limit recruiting, play in conference where you aren't sneaking in the playoffs unless you're undefeated, and 4-5 other schools (UGA, Clemson, Tenn, SC, maybe event GA State now) recruit ahead of them in their home state. That's a lot to overcome.

CU has improving facilities and is in a state that is growing and should eventually produce more homegrown talent, and is in a better conference. However they are a full generation from when they were last a nation player.

Michigan

They can't win it all if they can't beat OSU

I think Miami could get their swag back. Nebraska is a tougher sell.

Not really.Extremely watered down and really doesn't mean much as far as getting paid of your likeness

You still need to fund the FB program and update facilities and support staff.

Miami absolutely could with the right coach.
Nebraska? Well they fire coaches for "only" winning 9-10 games a year. No more partial qualifiers, county scholarships, and state of the art steroid use.

Nebraska’s arguably recruited Florida, Miami area specifically, better than anybody the past 2 years. Frost still has a big presence in that area, the majority of their past few classes have come out of the south. Not saying by any means Nebraska will win or be in contention anytime soon, but I think they’re on the right track to becoming solid

USC will turn around very, very quickly when they find the right guy. Their name carries too much weight in a large recruiting base for them not to.

2000 USC finished in last place in the Pac-10 and was 5-7 overall.

Nobody wanted the job and even Mike Riley turned it down.

They were considered a program that would never return to glory.

3 years later they win the AP National Championship.

USC and Miami will be back. There is too much local talent to suggest otherwise.

Notre Dame is solid, but lacks the top flight athletes to win the NC right now.

Nebraska is dead and made a mistake by joining the Big 10. It's over.

Oklahoma and Texas can obviously still win it all.

Da U might catch lightning in a bottle of they get the right leadership again. Too much talent in South Florida and a putrid conference. They'll never have sustained, dynastic success like the old days. But if the stars align, they could grab a title again.

I'd put Miami at the top of list for a lot of reasons that most have articulated.

Nebraska is an interesting one. I wouldn't count them out only because I think the B1G West can be had with a couple of great recruiting cycles. Win the CCG and you have a shot.

Tenn is tough. But, overcoming Fla/GA, then the SECW will take a perfect storm.

Winning it all at ND will take a perfect storm. BK is probably their ceiling.

Writing off Texas/Mich/USC/FSU until the end of time is foolish.

Nebraska has a very tough hill but if Frost can get the program built the Huskers have a shot to make a run one year.

Huskers have a pretty solid recruiting class and gave some solid athletes on the team

The right elite coach could probably win a title eventually at any of those schools.

Miami is probably the school Id be most surprised to ever see win another championship though. The administration and the fanbase both completed bailed on football.

The rise of UCF hasn’t helped Miami either. If FSU gets kind of back on track UM will be the 4th best program in the state.

UM and USC are private schools whose administration seems to have checked out on the football program.

I would say a big one is Tennessee. Historically the SEC number 2. They have to recruit nationally as they just do not have have talent nearby. They even spend the money on recruiting and facilities, I would say their problem is all these recruits these days can’t even remember them being relevant. Florida and UGA playing well. If they do get thru that they will have a powerhouse west team. Just seems unlikely to me without getting a Nick Saban level coach there.
