Andreas Obst just dragged his nuts across the United States of America, what times we live in

the world is slowly passing the USA in hoops and will own that sport like they own soccer

other than national pride, this is great for the sport overall

That team was so arse watching Edwards and Reaves pound the ball into the floor until 7 sec left on the clock.

Wow. Germany gave the US enough chances down the stretch.

The world is catching up for sure, but this US team is the equivalent to an MLS only US team in soccer. It may be on par with most of CONCACAF, but it’s not obviously better.

Ewing and David Robinson were on the 92 team

Us took bums like Ingram, Portis, and Kessler.
US will take better players to the Olympics.

US players don’t know how to play team ball, international squads are just better teams.

The world has caught because they teach skill development. How to shoot how to pass how to dribble it's not about dunking on someone all the time it's about teamwork. They are beating us using our formula for success. Go back to the days of Dean Smith, Bobby Knight, John Wooden. They had talent but they developed it today to much aau or eybl. Coaches don't teach how to play the game the correct way.

The USA sent the C team to the tournament, they will send the A squad to Paris next summer and get the gold.

I love ANT, but that iso shite between him and freaking Reaves was brutal to watch

This team just was not very good and not well put together.

This is an appropriate comment if made in the mid to late 90s or early 2000s.
The US team is by far the best at shooting, especially from distance.
The days of guys shooting 38 percent and getting big contracts because they have a good one on one game is over.
The problem today was with defense but not lack of effort on defense. It was much more team positioning and also the US defenders overcommitting and creating 4 3-point foul shots in a 40 minute game (none of which were bad calls). Complete mental mistake there.
Also, this is a minor point because he barely played today, but half of the MSB could beat Cam Johnson in a game of 1-on-1 right now. Which is insane because he played very well in the NBA this year.
He made himself unplayable the last two weeks, which made the US rely on a small ball team more than they wanted.
And Austin Reaves is by far the biggest defensive liability on this team.

Team U.S.A. just lost a game after shooting 59% from the field, 48% from deep, and 96% from the free throw line, shooting better than Germany at all three of those.
They also committed less fouls, had less turnovers and had more steals and blocks

Dennis Schroder cooked Reaves coming down the stretch and we're not even going to talk about Haliburton falling down.

Noah Lyles is smiling right now

Always a great day when spoiled nba players lose.

Love it. Competition is better and now FIBA will start to be worth watching
