Packers GM Ted Thompson kept trying to get rid of Brett Favre, because Thompson was gay and Favre used to call him the f*ggot GM in the locker room.
That is some shite Favre would do

The college football clock rules were changed to get in more commercials. They never cared about the length of the game.
Wait were people really arguing otherwise?

Vortex Theory
The theory's origin is uncertain, but one of its most ardent believers is none other than Darrell Waltrip. The theory goes that getting cars going around the race track causes a “vortex” that keeps rain away or it creates so much heat that rain droplets evaporate before they hit the ground.

The NCAA knew that Saban was retiring so they rigged the SECCG

I heard the fight pregame was because Jefferson was in no condition to play. He got carried in at like 5am. Possibly roofied. I mean like you said something was obviously off
I know this thread just got a helluva bump but I 100% believe the conspiracy stories about 1/9/12. I remember they showed LSU warm up on TV during pregame and my dad and I both noticed how the team's body language was weird/disinterested. Some shite definitely went down.

The SEC rigging games for Saban/Bama isn't some huge conspiracy to anyone that has paid attention to CFB for decades.
The NFL rigging games isn't some grand conspiracy either, at least not to me. It is obvious what they do to put their thumb on the scales for the teams they want to win.

I love when this thread gets bumped. One of my favorite threads to read through on this site. I'll add a theory that doesn't get much run but is something I've thought for a long time:
The reason Tom Brady took below market contracts in New England is because Kraft paid him under the table via the TB12 company.

If there us 1 single human being on earth that would spill the beans, it's that fatass drunk slob Tbob. No way he buries the rumor

he's addressed this on their show saying that there was no fight and no conspiracy.

Absolutely, and it wold have been smart on Brady's part to do so. Keep a solid team around him and keep getting paid via endorsements or other business "ventures".
As much money as Brady generated for NE and the NFL, he SHOULD get that and more.

The way I heard that story was like this. It happened 2 weeks before the NC and the oline was pissed and let Troy Smith get wrecked.
i always wondered why they came out entirely flat. Ginn smoked that return and then it was like they forgot how to play offense.

with all of the time that has passed, over 100 people involved and all of the media, interviews, podcasts, social media etc around if there was an incident on 1/8/2012 or 1/9/2012 somebody would have said something by now

It is a great thread and always a good read.
I had never heard this one about Shaq and David Stern from the draft lottery
"He says even before the lottery, do you want to play where it's hot or cold? I said hot and Orlando gets the ball. I don't think nothing of it, and then at the draft he's coming up with the envelope and he's looking at the envelope and (winks toward Shaq)."
