Here's one that always triggers t-sips: Charles Alan Wright.
Wright was the head of the NCAA infractions committee throughout the 80s. When it became apparent that his beloved longhorns were about to go in the shitter (1984-1985 timeframe) is where SMU and A&M all of a sudden started getting busted for infractions that t.u. was doing as well, but those somehow never reached the committee. When A&M came back after Sherrill was scapegoated, he struck again in 1993.
What eventually did A&M in, however, was Slocum himself. In the 1996 season, he fricked around on his wife with his secretary...his wife crashed practice one day and threw his shite all over the practice field. That just so happened to be two days before the infamous USL game. Slocum shitcanned all of his assistants at the end of the season to save his job, but he was on thin ice from that point forward. Had A&M not won the Big 12 in 1998, the AD was going to let his contract just expire.

2008 or 2009 College World Series, LSU and UGA were in the CWS. According to some LSU players, Gordon Beckham, UGA’s 3rd basemen, frick Erin Andrews in Omaha

The original schools rumored to be joining the SEC were Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas, Texas A&M, Florida State and Miami.
Arkansas jumped immediately. The Texas schools couldn't leave due to politics. Florida State wanted nothing to do with a tough SEC schedule. Miami was trying to get the Big East to upgrade its football reputation. South Carolina was the last choice but took the offer when it came.

Heard all that except for Miami.

The league employs ex FBI and Cia agents as security in every NFL city. They keep tabs on all the players and have never turned a player in for criminal charges. They willingly employ hundreds of criminals annually to benefit themselves but never notify the police of any wrong doing. Money talks.

Belichick threw SB52 because he was pissed at Kraft for not trading Brady so he could keep the dynasty going with Jimmy G.

The SEC should have waited longer for better schools. Arkansas and South Carolina are Maryland and Rutgers before Maryland and Rutgers.

I mean June Jones left a 12-1 Hawaii program to go to a 1-11 SMU team. It had to be terrible.
SMU bumped his pay up tot $2 million a year which at that point was equal or better than what many P5 teams were paying their HCs. Hawaii couldn't afford to keep him at that point.

I just re-read this whole thread because of you, even after I saw how old it was.

South Carolina has an 80k seat stadium that is always full (even during the worst of times) and is the 15th most profitable college football program in the country. Rutgers and Maryland football are afterthoughts in their own states. Even with Clemson winning 2 of the last 3 titles, there are as many or more Gamecock fans in SC than Tiger fans.

Larry Foster snatching his girlfriends purse because she had pictures and threatened to show his wife. Band members saw where he was hiding and she sniffed him out
Damn, that was a long time ago. I remember this.
I am trying to think of rumors and conspiracies, it seems like there have been a lot but I can't think of any. It seems like there have been players people say threw games.
Who was the player under Saban in the 03 championship game didn't play in the first half because he was supposedly hurt but played in 2nd half. I remember hearing Saban had to beg him to play.

In the Phoenix TV market the local newscasters and weather girls have been notorious tramps. Dan Majerle, Charles Barkley and others on the mid-90's Suns would pull trains on a couple (one was hot as hell), one current newscaster has a couple kids out of wedlock with a former DBack and another has a kid from town drunk Tom Chambers.
